My boyfriend and I had the most idyllic long weekend in this shepherd’s hut to celebrate his 30th - the hut has everything you’d need and is so cosy, and the peaceful surroundings off the beaten track were just what we wanted. Madeleine checked in during the stay to make sure we had all we needed and provided some phone numbers for a few local taxi firms when asked. Just a perfect stay and host!
Some things we got up to that we’d recommend - a day in Arundel exploring the castle and gardens, cathedral, local pubs and shops, and a walk around the lake; a few hours wandering in Chichester; a dip in the sea at Littlehampton (loads to do for kids and families down on the seafront); a day exploring the Weald & downland living museum; dinners at The George in Eartham, The Pig in Madehurst, and Meghdoots Mystique Masala Indian restaurant in Petworth. A beautiful area of the country with amazing pubs and history, we’ll be back!!
