The Airbnb is well located for a weekend in Newcastle. However, we had booked it for a family weekend with a young child and grandparents, and the house didn't match the standard that we expected for the price that was paid. The house is in need of some TLC, and whilst the bedsheets, towels and bathrooms were clean, there was a strong smell of tobacco throughout the property and the sofas, chairs and carpets were dirty. We had also arranged with the host to have use of a cot for our infant son, but there was not one in the property on arrival, and the host did not respond when we contacted them asking about the cot. We had to spend the first evening of our stay driving across town to borrow one from a friend which was less than ideal. In addition, the instructions provided for check-in (via a lock box) were incorrect. Overall, while the house did the job for a place to crash after a family wedding, we were disappointed by the basic things noted above.

Rakriss is a great host and easy to deal with person as well.
The flat is the same as you see it on photos, clean a d tidy, amazing location just literally 1 min away from the sea and beach. Many good restrestaurants on the street which is good, close to grocery stores, which is great either.
Believe me - it is a good price per value accommodation and you would love to live there.
Can't wait to return there one more time, Rakriss is very welcoming host!

Host had problem getting the flat ready so could not check in at appointed time. Poor communication so no prior warning on arrival. Description says on site parking, but it wasn’t available. Other minor issues included no soap or toiletries provided and some cleanliness issues with bed linen, cutlery and bathroom.
