Great place to base our group at for a weekend in London - perfect location near the centre of Shoreditch, but on a quiet street where a good night's sleep was never a problem. Host was easy to communicate with throughout. Recommended.

Great location, pleasant neighbourhood

Overall, I would stay here again, as the property has potential and the location suited my needs. However, my first impression was that the apartment felt quite dark, gloomy, and cold on arrival, which was very different from the bright, airy feel portrayed in the listing photos. There are a number of relatively simple improvements that would significantly enhance the guest experience, including better maintenance, improved storage, upgraded bathroom fittings, more comfortable bedding, a nespresso capsule coffee machine, and attention to cleanliness and presentation. Addressing these issues would make the property much more comfortable and better aligned with guest expectations.

Unfortunately this stay did not meet expectations. The electrical outlet near one of the beds was unreliable and barely functional. The standing fan did not work. The laundry machine was extremely loud — it sounded like it was about to fall apart. The front door had lock issues throughout our stay. The sofa bed was uneven and unlevel, leaving your upper body supported while your legs sank down — it was genuinely uncomfortable to sleep on. The floors had visible cracks and holes that were not disclosed in the listing photos. There were bugs present throughout the unit. On top of the physical issues, communication with the host was disappointing — when we flagged a problem with the lockbox on checkout, we were met with a dismissive and accusatory tone rather than understanding. I wanted to like this place, but between the condition of the unit and the host interaction, I can’t recommend it.
