Spacious and full of great indoor and outdoor options — perfect for a relaxing getaway!

An atmospheric and well-equipped cottage with good outdoor terrain. Not spoiled, but we found everything we needed. In the summer, I'm sure it's even nicer, when you can use the outdoor patio and other outdoor areas, now it's not a joy in the rain.

The cottage was in a great location in privacy! I would have loved to have stayed here longer. The sauna provided good steam and there was just the right amount of space in the cottage. The dog was also comfortable with freedom and a shallow beach where you could wade. Highly recommended!

Really lovely cottage milieu and lots to do. Clean, tidy, and well thought out. Everything you need has been thought out. The bed was done, which felt like a luxury when I didn't arrive until the evening. The adjacent highway is a pretty good part of the yard, but it didn't hurt much. The cottage can easily sleep four, but it can be cramped for more than two people in the rain. In good weather, the yard is so comfortable that there's no problem.

Definitely worth the visit what a beautiful place with a nice lake and private view it has a boat and a fireplace. Very clean and peaceful I definitely recommend it. Thank you Kai.

The place was lovely! Beautiful scenery for idyllic seductive people. Peaceful and private setting! Rowing on the lake was comfortably done on a boat in use. The separate sleeping area was really good and the bed bigger than normal was a big plus. The sleeping area was crowned by an air source heat pump that was well adjusted to a quiet sleeping setting. We slept really well in the listing! The sauna was really neat and atmospheric. The carrying water brought real cottage vibes. The cooking was a great success in a diverse summer kitchen. The home has a large deck and a large covered area where it was nice to hang out, both in the rain and the shine. Our dog was also very comfortable at the property. Communicating with Marko and Marjo was really easy and natural! Messages were always responded to, and everything went so smoothly. We highly recommend this place!

Every things was really nice. Elina was responsive and flexible with check-in and number of guests. The location was amazing. The cabin was fully equipped for a comfortable stay. Also, the hot tub and sauna were amazing.

As described, the house sits alone on a peninsula in the lake. The last 3 km lead via a forest path (easily accessible by car). The property offers ample space for activities of all kinds. Game and sports equipment is available but partly already heavily used. The house and other buildings are very nice and well appointed. Description and illustrated instructions for all devices are present. Everything works and there were no problems at all. Wi-Fi Internet is available and sufficient but not particularly fast. If several people want to stream, it's not enough. Outside Wi-Fi is available according to the description but did not work during our visit. A private jetty leads to the beautiful, clear lake. The boat is large enough for 4 people Only the provided (paid) motor is somewhat undersized. Rowing is sometimes faster😁. Overall a wonderful stay in the Finnish forest.

The cabin was amazing, in a very secluded lake front area in the forest whilst still close by to Joutsa and the main road so it is still well connected. There were plenty of amenities including a firepit, bbq, wood fired sauna and even a rowboat to go out on the lake. The cabin itself was very nice inside and the kitchen was well equipped! Despite WiFi not being available at the cabin the mobile data coverage in the area is very good. Just to note bedlinen isn't included, although the host, Pasi, can provide this for a small additional fee on request. Pasi was very friendly, accommodating and helpful, and actually met us at the cabin to check in which was nice! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a lovely quiet getaway in central Finland!

Absolutely amazing place! We stayed as a group of 6 for 12 days and great time. The property is at the end of a peninsula (yet still well reachable by car) so it is very quiet and peaceful. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need (kitchen appliances, sauna, bbq etc.). The 3 docks in all directions were perfect for breakfast, watching sunsets, jumping in the water or just enjoying the sun. Thanks for the opportunity to stay at your amazing cottage :)

I give the spot 5/5 stars. Very tidy, cozy and secluded cabin, if you want to be really in the sticks in the middle of the nature without distractions, for ultimate relaxation, this is the spot for you. You get excellent löyly at the sauna, the lake is beautiful, you get amazing views from the pier. We saw some wildlife as well; rabbits, waterbirds etc. The place is really nice and the yard has a natural feel to it with wild flowers everywhere. Communication was great too and you will get very prompt responses. Thank you so much Henri & Jonna for the amazing stay at your beautiful cabin!

Very spacious and comfortable home for a larger group getaway! The yard and beach were also heavily used, and cozy from a children's perspective. The owners were helpful and quick to reach.

Heikki was very nice and helpful. Onget and worms were ready, and the appetizing was a success from the dock, where it was also nice to just sit. Very good steam in the sauna and the beach is good for swimming. From the plum trees in the yard, we were able to eat delicious plums.

We had such a lovely and peaceful weekend at Mia’s gorgeous cottage! The surroundings are beautiful and it was very quiet. Kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfortable and sauna is so, so nice. Easy access to the lake for a swim. Everything went smoothly and we would absolutely love to visit again!

Wow, what a beautiful location. And such a lovely house. There was a an original sauna on the lake which allowed us a true Finnish experience. Elina was the perfect host. She was always responsive and keen to ensure we had a great time. Anyone booking this place will not be disappointed. We will be returning- maybe when there is snow on the ground. Our family really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house , very good location and beautiful well maintained grounds . We also liked the private area near the lake , the pier , the new sauna, everything matches the description and the house is very comfortable . There is everything you need . Also, Hannah and Katya responded very quickly to our requests and questions. We would love to come back again !

Asikkala's paradise was perfect for our friends' family's weekend away. The yard was beautiful and there was plenty to do for everyone. We saunas, our toddler swam in the tub, dip in the swim, went fishing, made pizza in the pizza oven, played croquet, and dined on the deck. We were a group of 6 couples, with 2 toddlers, 2 babies, and 1 dog. We had a great time, and there was plenty of room for everyone to hang out with.

Jukka was a great host and easily reachable. It was a great place by the lake and even better than you expected from the photos.

We have spent a beautiful week end at Sole’s house! The place is beautiful and cozy! You can find everything you need. And the most amazing is the view from the windows you can see only water! Very peaceful and quiet. Will come back again!
