This is private room in a 1950's home where I live surrounded by art, books and gardens. I started sharing my home back in Australia when graduate students from around the world filled my spare room -- and my life -- with adventures and new friendships. The home is located just off historic Main Street and a block away from the new regional library. It's five minutes from shopping and ten from UAM, both school districts and the health complex. Welcome to Monticello!
“The stay was absolutely perfect! I was preparing for an important speech I was giving so wanted privacy and relaxation, and it offered that. I was able to look out the window to see the amazing flowers and hear the birds; I could go for a walk in the peaceful neighborhood and even into town if I wanted. Or I could just stay focused on my preparation in a very spacious room. Eulea upgraded me to the larger space which included my own private full kitchen, bathroom, sitting area and bedroom. Absolutely wonderful. Honestly, if I were going to Monticello again I would look this up first to see if it was available.”
Very cozy inside. Welcoming Kitchen with island & stainless steel bar stools that over looks living room. Stainless steel appliances. Laundry room, Beautiful tiled bathrooms with sliding entry doors. Fully stocked with towels and amenities. Direct Cable TV with over 145 Channels. Just added backyard private fence. New deck complete with umbrella, table with four chairs for outdoor relaxation.
“A great alternative to the poor motel and overpriced hotel options in the area. The house smelled like clean linen when I arrived and there was an oil defuser with mint oil available. That was a nice touch. Everything you need for a stay was available. There is no ch&a but the window unit kept it nice and warm, there was also heaters in both bedrooms but I did not need them. The house is stylishly decorated. The master bedroom bed was the only one I used and it had a foam patted mattress cover on it an slept very comfortably. Neighborhood is poor country, which I am very use to, but if that makes you uncomfortable you have been told. Overall a cozy place to stay.”
Great family space that's close to shopping, dining, park, etc. Enjoy comfy bedrooms and sitting areas. Also great for grouping family & friends to share an inviting, comfortable space that's sure to please. Has kitchen appliances, dining ware and cookware. Washer and dryer. Cable, Wifi & Netflix available. Large front porch and amazing backyard with covered entertaining area and patio to enjoy. Plenty parking space for guests.
“Karl’s home was amazing. There was more than enough space for everyone. We felt like we were at home and we were provided with everything that needed. The location was perfect!!! Exactly 7-8mins to and from all of our family events. I would highly recommend his home and I appreciate him for sharing his home. His home put a twist on southern hospitality and we loved every bit. Everything from the huge kitchen, to the gigantic backyard, to the living room, awesome size bathroom, and bedroom sizes was just perfect! I will definitely be back to stay during another family reunion. If I could give Karl 100 stars, I would.”
