Our 80 m2 luxury apartment is situated on our 5th generation Gouda Cheese Farm. The story goes back to 1847 where the first generation of our family started making original Gouda Cheese. We still make it the same way and we are proud of it. Do you want to spend a few days on a real traditonal farm without a lag of luxury, then you just found the right adress. Want to see how we make cheese or how we milk the cows? You are more than welcome to see.
“If you are planning Amsterdam or Rotterdam in the Netherlands, this is the place to go! I was so happy because it was so much better than I thought Anyway, the kindness of the family is very sweet and wit. As soon as I arrived at the hotel, I saw a piece of cheese present and it was warm. You can also see the cows on the ranch directly connected to the 2nd floor of the property, the cute goat family Noah (cute dog), chicken, turkey ... all happy memories! The locals also bought a lot of cheese, eggs, and milk ~ We bought them, but they were all delicious and fresh! My parents and my husband are both satisfied. The inside of the house is really clean, warm, cozy, comfortable and really perfect. ♡”
It is located at the river with nice, sandy beaches nearby. You can go bicycling, walking, swimming, fishing and visiting monumental cities nearby. Or you can visit the world famous Kinderdijk windmills or the glass factory in Leerdam.
“We had a wonderful weekend in this romantic cozy house. On arrival we received nice and useful local tips. A beautiful bike ride made on fine bikes through the beautiful old Dutch landscape with many windmills and authentic places! The cottage is fully equipped, has a comfortable seating area, cozy kitchen, nice bubble bath, comfortable beds and a beautiful view over the meadows. Really recommended!”
Newly renovated cozy apartment in a characteristic house dating from 1850. Situated in the middle of the historical centre of Gouda, just a stone’s throw away from restaurants, bars and shops. The perfect starting point to explore what this beautiful city and his surroundings have to offer. Consider visiting the characteristic cheese market on Thursdays, one of the musea or the longest church in the Netherlands, The St John.
“Peter & Irma have a beautiful place right in the heart of Gouda. Only a few minutes stroll to a car park, shops and a great little local pub across the road ;) The apartment itself was clean and very comfortable with nice little welcome gifts waiting for us on arrival. In only two days we had a really genuine insight into life in the Netherlands. You don't get that in fancy hotels ;)”
