“Green house on the edge of a lush Mediterranean forest with great sea and mountain views. The nearest beach is approx. 700 m. Pebble, clear sea water. Below the village is a quiet, clean, holiday village. A sandy beach is about 8 km south. Those who love nature, love silence, are an ideal venue for them. I recommend it to family. There are no neighbors, you can be alone at the edge of the forest. The house is fully equipped, comfortable, high quality and clean. The garden is fragrant. We could use everything in the house. The host is a very sympathetic, helpful gentleman. We had a hearty welcome when we arrived. When we had a problem, he always helped. The house has 6 seats, but if there are small children, more people can fit. ”
The house is situated just three meters above the sea, in the lush green area of Kokkino Nero, under the Kissavos Mountain. It is a two room flat with a big balcony under the shade of an old plane tree. The apartment is ideal for couples or small families who crave for tranquility and relaxation. Come and enjoy the simplicity, the peace and quiet of the area, watch the sun rise, feel the sea breeze, and swim into the deep sea water or go trekking to the high mountains!
“We spent one week at Eirene’s place together with our 12-year-old daughter. When we arrived a friend of Eirene welcomed us as Eirene was not available, but everything worked perfectly. We really felt welcomed and once Eirene arrived, she even topped this with her kindness and hospitality! We especially appreciated her suggestions for sightseeing. We loved the region, in particularly the sandy beach in Stomio, Katerini, the see road to Volos and of course the Meteora monasteries. We will come back for sure again! The description we got from Eirene to find the place was perfect so we had no difficulties of finding it, even though one can be somewhat surprised by the narrowness of the blind alley leading directly to the house. The beach in front of the house is the second, smaller beach in Kokkino Nero, therefore not overcrowded but mostly rather empty. We loved the small terrace with the see view, it is so near that you have this intense smell and the sound of the see all the time. The apartment looked exactly like described online. It is tastefully furnished and decorated with many fantastic and obviously unique pieces – we loved it! The kitchen and the bathroom (or better said: the shower) are quite small but ok. There was only one thing that we missed: the air condition or one additional window in the front room. There was a fan in the apartment, but this was not enough to cool down the front room. The direct and only entrance to the apartment is the terrace door which made it difficult to provide fresh air flow in the front room. When we were away, we obviously closed both the glass doors and the shutters as the sun was shining directly to the terrace from the sunrise on. During the night we first tried closing only the shutters and the mosquito net and left the glass doors open. Even with the fan on it was much too hot to sleep in the room. After Eirene and her friend suggested to leave the shutters open (which, according to them, was totally safe), we tried that, and it helped a lot during the night. However, it costed us quite an effort to leave the doors completely open and try to relax only with a mosquito net between the street/terrace and the bed in the front room. But it worked and the sound of the see was priceless! The back room is equipped with French windows, mosquito net and Venetian blinds which worked perfectly. We got both cool, fresh air and the calming sound of the see! Thank you again, Eirene, for your hospitality and for making your place so special!”
A 2 bedroom townhouse situated about 200m from the Aegean seashore and the public beach named 'Psarolakas'. There is a foot path next to a small creek, that flows on the edge of the property, that will take you in less than a 5 minute walk to the public Beach of 'Psarolakas' with its crystal clear waters. The area/location of the townhouse is called 'Psarolakas' Karitsas. Karitsa is the name of the small picturesque village located about 500m elevation directly above on the mountain side.
“Very cosy and clean house. We felt like at home - chilling out on the terrace, cooking, sitting by the fireplace in the evening. We had everything that we needed. The beach is very close to the house. We were in October and we had a perfect vacation. The communication with Alex was great. We highly recommend this place.”
