"Anglesey House" Iconic Forbes CBD Heritage Home

"Anglesey House" a two storey, Late Victorian home built in 1884 in the CBD. A wealthy merchant from Anglesey in Wales, loaded two ships with finery that could not be obtained in Australia at the time. William Thomas built Anglesey House with it's seven marble fireplaces, cedar staircase, high and ornate ceilings and sandstone stables in the back garden. Although built in 1884 Anglesey has all of the facilities that are expected in a modern home. More history available in the guest guide.

The Shed is self-contained with a separate bathroom, cooking area, full kitchen, with an espresso machine, dishwasher, washing machine. The spacious 40 m2 studio has a large queen size bed, a big dining table, lounge, big smart TV, a big desk / office area. Also includes split system-reverse cycle air conditioner, portable heater, electric blankets and a ceiling fan to guarantee comfort all year round.

We are located in the midst of The Mountain Trail wineries where you can take in some of the best wineries that Orange has on offer. The Lake Walk is a minutes drive from the studio. From there it is an easy 1k walk to Lake Canobolas or drive directly to the Lake if you prefer. All this and only 7 minutes drive into the CBD of Orange!
