The cottage near the lake

The cottage by the lake is a charming self contained chalet that boasts both modern clean lines and that warm traditional Portuguese feel. This sweet little chalet is ideal for couples or has a sofa bed to sleep up to 3 people. A spacious clean and modern bathroom is adjacent to the sleeping area which has a great double bed, space to hang clothes and a lovely view of the front garden. There is a modern yet rustic kitchen that includes a microwave, fridge, double hob and basic amenities. There is a dining space for meals and a huge flat screen!! At the front of the chalet is a seating space for two and around to the side a large eating area with a beautiful wall mural, barbecue and large table and benches beneath the grapes vines. 🍇 A quaint and luxurious place to relax in peace and take in the view and only minutes from the town of Pedrogao Grande which has plenty of bars, restaurants a supermarket and many other amenities. Just a 2 hour journey to both Lisbon and porto airports and just 40 minutes to the beautiful city of coimbra. A daily breakfast is also included

Castanheira de Pera is a wonderful place to explore this lovely area from. Praia das Rocas is just five minutes away. Visit the romantic shist villages in the Lousa mountains, the historic country towns nearby, swim in the small river beaches or boat on the nearby lake. Just step outside the house onto long walking trails, go cycling on the forest tracks or just sip a glass of local wine and enjoy the unbelievable views. There are summer festas and weekly markets in most of the local villages.

A beautiful apartment nestled in a hamlet in the mountains of Central Portugal close to the Village of Castanheira de Pera. A delight for walkers, cyclists, walkers, swimmers and those wanting to just chill with beautiful views of forests and mountains. Within walking distance is the local attraction of Praia das Rocas wave pools, The Mirror natural plunge pool. Also cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and a weekly market. Near by are beautiful river beaches and charming mountain shist villages.
