Close to Lake Almanor, Bucks Lake, the quaint towns of Quincy and Belden, snowshoeing, fishing and many other outdoor activities. We also have a Little Tree Library with books for all ages, or little games to play. Plus, we include many lawn games right here on the historic Paxton Lodge property.

Relax in style in this rural remote place. A former trailer turned small home, where you can enjoy civilization and wilderness all in the same location. Hike up the mountain or relax watching tv (bring your own Netflix, YouTube, amazon accounts- apps are appearing on TV. Your fire stick will work, too). Verizon service is full bars. AT&T and T-mobile is not working there. You will have to take screenshots of checkin directions in advance and set up Wi-Fi calling when you get there.

We are a pet-friendly dwelling and welcome all pets who have good house manners. As we do live upstairs with 3 pets - there will be some footsteps from time to time. This unit stays nice and cool in the summer and there are heaters to keep warm in the winter. There is lots of space to socialize and a full kitchen to utilize. Whether traveling for work or pleasure - The Storybook Suite will provide a cozy mountain farm retreat.
