Onegum Bed and Breakfast is an ideal country escape located near the Stirling Ranges in Kendenup, Western Australia. The bed and breakfast is a historic train carriage that has been lovingly restored to pay respect to it's rich heritage but to also have all the creature comforts to make your stay relaxing and idyllic. Onegum is also a family friendly farm where you can collect eggs for breakfast, see the emus or hang out with some friendly llamas.
“We had an excellent time, and have to give an extra loud shout out to the amazing hospitality and welcome. When we were first shown around the very cool converted rail car we were given a loaf of fresh local sourdough bread, bacon from the local butcher, eggs from their chickens (which you can see in an orchard literally two metres from the carriage!!), home made lamington slice and a beautiful bottle of wine! We sat on the front porch drinking the wine looking over the ranges in the distance. There was also home made muesli with home made berry coulis and milk and orange juice provided. The carriage was sparkling clean and the bed was so so comfy. We’ll definitely be staying here again and making more time to explore the property and meet the animals!”
Fernbrook is a lovingly restored section of the Faulkner family's historic Bolganup Homestead. Bring your fine food, family or friends and sit out on the verandah overlooking kangaroos grazing, the orchard and the Porongurup Range. Situated in the heart of the Porongurup village, Bolganup is walking distance to the Porongurup Village Inn & Tearooms, Karri On Bar & Jingalla Wines. Just a short drive to the trail heads of the Porongurup Ranges, including Castle Rock Sky Walk, and wineries.
“This place is so homely - Kathleen and Kinglsey are the sweetest hosts, have some great recommendations and have set up a gorgeous heritage style house for you to get lost in time in. We came down with a group of 6 - the beds were fantastic (nice and warm for freezing nights) and we had a good-old time playing board games and enjoying the fire. Genuinely the best country air-bnb I have been to so far in WA's South West!”
Woodlands Retreat is a chalet nestled in the spectacular Porongurup Ranges that can be booked for 2 or 4 guests. It includes a heated spa, fully serviced kitchen and is a short drive to wonderful wineries, hiking trails and nature reserves.
“Cosy retreat in a remote setting in the Porongurup National Park with stunning views from the hot tub! Well appointed with a comfortable bed and lots of welcome touches such as chocolates, bottle of wine, cheese selection, shower toiletries and a great coffee machine which all made our stay feel special - the wood burner made the winter evenings very cosy! Check in was straightforward and parking was right outside, at the end of a slightly steep unsealed track. We had a two wheel drive car with low clearance and it was fine, even after heavy rainfall. There is no phone reception (heaven!) but the WiFi is consistent (although it may feel slow if you’re used to fast broadband). Overall a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended.”
