“This was the second visit in a few months for me - I took my daughter back for a treat away from the family before the birth of her third baby. Verity & Martin have a beautiful home in a tranquil and peaceful rural setting. They cooked us a delightful evening meal which was of high-class restaurant standard. This is a great hideaway only 45kms from Christchurch. Their home is beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean with lots of nice touches such as home made bikkies with their homegrown pinenuts. A beautiful spot set in a great garden with a very nice hot tub looking out over the bay. Plus Pinenut the very fetching kitten.”
You’ll love my place because of the views, the high ceilings, the location, and the kitchen. My place is good for couples.
“Helen’s place at Pigeon Bay was the perfect place to cap off the New Zealand leg of our trip. The space was absolutely stunning. Straight out of a home design magazine. We loved the fun art and beautiful view of the water from the outside dining table. A great spot to unwind from a long day’s drive, enjoy the hot tub and view. We also appreciated the breakfast kit. The en suite bathrooms were a nice touch as well.”
This beautiful holiday home is nestled amongst 50 acres of tussock grasslands, olive groves, orchards and surrounded by breath-taking views of the majestic Banks Peninsula. Once you visit, you will never want to leave! Just 40 minutes from Christchurch, it’s a perfect city getaway - with 2 ensuite master bedrooms, cosy living area with log burner and open plan kitchen and dining area. Park up and slip on your walking boots, there’s hundreds of KM’s of walking and tramping tracks to explore.
“We absolutely loved our two night stay at Manaaki. All communication with Jason and Meg was fluid and immediate, and we found the house to be just as advertised: it is a cosy, comfortable home in a fantastic, tranquil location. We had all the amenities we needed (including a rice cooker and sandwich machine!) and found the place beautifully clean, with quality linens and towels and a gorgeous view. Paul and Andrea had lit the fire for us which was so nice to arrive to; and they were lovely neighbours/hosts, answering all our questions as well as helping us to find the right walk up the hill (complete with babbling brook and darting piwakawaka.) We had breakfast outside, a picnic lunch at Camp Bay, explored Port Levy in the afternoon and ate dinner by the fire. Highly recommend!”
