“I cannot recommend this apartment enough. Paddy and Mary are amazing hosts , we felt like we were staying with friends. The apartment had everything we could have needed, even some breakfast items to use. The location is perfect , a short drive to all of the beautiful scenic walks/villages/viewpoints. It’s certainly somewhere I would return to without hesitation!”
Beautiful home located near the shores of Lough Derg. 30 sec drive to local village with shop and pubs and ten min drive to Neangh. Five min drive to GarryKennedy. Lovely view from the house. Pet friendly.
“We had pleasure to stay with Mark family for one night. Even though we came quite late 10.30pm) we were welcomed with cup of tea and cold bear. Catherine and her family are so lovely people, the nicest hosts ever. Pity that we stayed here just one night.”
'Boreen' is a cosy, handcrafted cabin hidden in the hills with uninterrupted tranquility & stunning views of the countryside. The entire cabin has been custom-designed and built to give you a completely unique and incredibly special experience. Just a ten-minute drive from the hugely popular twin towns of Killaloe and Ballina, Boreen feels a world away while on the doorstep of exploration.
“We feel so lucky to have spent a few days at this comfortable, cozy, clean and unique cabin set in a spectacular setting! What a perfect place to be in solitude as a family, where we could open up the doors to the beautiful outside, our children could play in the creek and explore the ruins, and we could wake up to the amazing scenery surrounding us. We hiked, read books snuggled on the porch, played the fun board games found in the cabin (the kids loved the toys, games and art supplies!) and enjoyed a relaxing, quiet time together. We truly appreciate our time spent at Steve’s beautiful cabin, especially during this crazy time. Truly amazing place and we hope to be back!”
