Holiday rentals in Powhatan County

We stayed at Katerina’s place for 6 nights while I was cleaning my aunts place out after moving her to assisted living. Her home was about 10 minutes from Katerina’s place, in Cartersville. The closest hotels are about 45m-1hr away in Farmville or Richmond. While it would have been a bit cheaper to stay at a hotel, I wasn’t looking forward to a 2 hr round trip every day, so I was lucky to find this place. The cabin has a beautiful view of the river. It was nice to have the hot tub to soak in after long, dusty days. Katerina was responsive to questions. The bed was a bit firm for our taste, but everyone has their own standards there. I got a chance to take a walk around the property and it’s lovely- very picturesque. Overall we had a nice stay, and if you are looking for seclusion, privacy, and peace, this has all those things. If you are looking for those things plus a modern aesthetic, you’ve found the place, hands down.

Tina's place is spacious , clean and has so many items for you "just in case". We stay in AirBNBs quite often and Tina's kitchen is AMAZING! Has everything a kitchen would need plus fully stocked! I actually pack spices, oil, traveling sharp knife and sometimes we bring our counter top oven (for TX airBNB) but didnt need anything this time!! The TVs were already set up with Netflix etc and there are tons of blankets, games, luggage racks, laundry room etc. We started a puzzle on one of the 2 tables and one person in the party was able to finish his work in the office. There is a playground at the school through the wooden pathway so we could take the kids to play. Wedding venue was 3 miles away and Hull Street is a mere 12 mins where there are tons of restaurants, shopping and the hair and nail salon for the wedding prep etc. There is plenty of room for your large family here! It was the perfect home for enjoying our daughter’s wedding weekend with our family and friends. The price was worth it for this special occasion. The kitchen was well stocked. We were too busy to enjoy the beautiful screened in porch, or use the grill and fire pit. Those were our only regrets. Thank you again, Kay, for thinking of everything!

We loved our stay at this beautiful farmhouse. Easy, scenic drive from Richmond. It's a very peaceful, quiet area but a quick 20 minute drive to restaurants and shopping. Our youngest loved running around in the large front and side yard. So much better than being cooped up in a hotel! The interior is beautifully restored - we loved the old wood and the large windows. It's clean and decorated thoughtfully with a great blend new and antique furniture and appointments. Liv and Mike were exceptional hosts and we were grateful for their warmth and hospitality. We wouldn't hesitate to return!

We were most impressed by the warm hospitality and attention to detail. The accommodation was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated, providing a cozy and comfortable retreat throughout our stay. Nathan went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and his prompt concise communication made the entire experience seamless. The location was fantastic, offering easy access to many wonderful restaurants, book stores, fueling stations and not far from Pocahontas State Park. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Nathan's place to anyone looking for a memorable Airbnb experience.

The Hobbit House was the perfect getaway! Everything was as described and more. The bathroom was super clean, the bed cozy and the location wonderful! I enjoyed the animals…they made me smile. Angela was an attentive host. This was a fantastic solo getaway!

Fantastic accommodations - apartment seemed close to new with plenty of room & private bathroom for each bedroom & big walk-in closets. Nice common area between bedrooms. Great dog park & areas to walk dog. Would definitely stay with Anna again & highly recommend.

We came to town for a Moose Event. Location was great and close to the lodge. Highly recommend to visitors who are Moose Members. Home was extremely quiet and has a Country Charm! Loved the huge master bathroom. Everything was exactly as described and had everything we needed during our stay. Would stay here again.
