Holiday rentals with lake access in Puerto Plata

This place was perfect! Located in Torre Altar, Puerto Plata, it felt super safe and had everything we needed for a comfortable and fun vacation. The apartment was clean, cozy, and well-equipped—like a home away from home. We loved how close it was to everything. Tío Pan restaurant was just a short walk away, and the neighborhood itself is quiet and friendly. If you're looking for a spot that’s convenient, beautiful, and chill, this is it. Would definitely stay here again!

Ambar is a phenomenal host. The introductions to the place, specifications and communications were excellent. The villa was well prepared and comfortable. I recommend this villa and Amber as a host.

Great discovery the GEKO! fabulous place! fantastic communication with Patricia and Karina! We had a great stay! And the perfect place to go with kids! We encourage them to go, the place is magical and they will try one of the best mojitos on the island! Dream spot! A great discovery of the GEKO! Kelvin was a great host. Also, the description matched my expectations. The place is a great value and is close to many good restaurants (my favorite was Swai but I also really liked 2 others: La Capola and The Food Truck King). Kelvin was very helpful and welcoming.

We loved the villa, just like the pictures. Marcelina is always attentive and pleasant, I would definitely come back.

A Perfect Stay in Paradise! The Dominican Republic is absolutely beautiful, and Heberto’s place made our stay even better. The host was fantastic—he took care of everything, was easy to communicate with, and truly treated us like family. The beach is stunning, and the pool is maintained better than any we’ve seen. The unit was exactly as advertised, with a full kitchen stocked with all the necessary cooking equipment, including an air fryer, which was a great bonus for us. The bedroom was perfect, with comfortable beds, and the entire place was spotless. We absolutely loved staying here for two months and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Excellent host I couldn’t ask for more. I couldn’t believe the unbelievable service they gave us. We were a little lost at first because I wasn’t having Internet and they came out and met us at the property. She also gave me a chart to re-tray and a free fruit basket that was beautiful. The apartment smelled excellent. Everything was beautiful. Everything looked new. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Nice spot to stay at and very centric. Posito was great and really helpful, he even offered to pick me up from the airport. I definitely will be back again

Reyna was an excellent host. The place is beautiful and has great wifi, washer and dryer in the unit for fast laundry service. Safe and secure place 24/7 security guard. When I needed help during check in Reyna responded promptly and also came by durung checkin to make sure everything was good. I would stay here again.

Had an amazing stay. The apartment felt like home. It had everything I needed. Very clean and the host was very responsive. My favorite part was the view. I would highly recommend. It’s worth the price.

Great little tiny home, away from the noise and commotion, and next to a beautiful and tranquil river. Home is super clean, cozy and comfortable, with everything you need, including a strong fan, quality AC. And I appreciated the added touch of the handy electric fly swatter, since I like leaving the windows open (though there was surprisingly very few bugs considering how deep in the woods you are). Just 10-15 drive to cabarete where a lot of restaurants and action is. But there's also a good restaurant just a short walk away. I had a good fresh fish meal there for cheap. By the river next to the home, there is a hammock and little bench to sit on. I spent a lot of time there working out, meditating and enjoying the water go by. There's also an inner tube and paddle board there, but didn't take the opportunity to use it since i was just there for two nights and had work to do. But definitely coming back and getting into the river next time!
