“After 5 months of lockdown in London, this was a really great place to come for a break and to be in nature. The woodland is very beautiful and there are lots of lovely walks nearby straight from the doorstep. Really easy to get to local beaches via car, though you probably need one to get around. The views from the picture window and the balcony are stunning. The space is a comfortable size for two people and is well-equipped (big TV, lots of pots, pans, etc., in kitchen, books, washing machine, and so on) and very stylish! Definitely feels like someone's home rather than an apartment for hire, in the best way possible! One thing to be aware of is that there are other airbnbs in the vicinity so you won't be completely alone; we could hear the next door neighbours quite clearly, but only when they were outside... with an acoustic guitar singing the Moana soundtrack. Please watch your head on the extractor fan above the oven as it juts out a bit and I never learnt from my mistakes and kept hitting my head. Hosts were very friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend this as a quiet break in countryside.”
The Barn is up a long private woodland track, in the Surrey Hills. We feel like we are in the middle of nowhere, yet we are only a couple of miles from the centre of Haslemere. Whether you are getting married later on in 2020 (or indeed 2021!), are looking for great walks, visiting friends or relatives, or just want to escape it all, we really hope you will love this place as much as we do.
“Jaw dropping property and a super location. Quick access to the downs, multiple walks, yet the town is just a short drive away with multiple supermarkets etc. We were pleased to have our privacy and yet Melanie was always available to help us and ensure that we were comfortable. The place is modern and very stylish, with lots of cool antique touches. It’s a big, clean and bright space equipped with everything you might need. We especially enjoyed the private garden with chairs and a swing, perfect for observing the starry night sky. Oh and we can’t forget the beautiful horses and sheep that added an extra bit of magic to the already super scenic surroundings!”
Modern self contained 2 bedroom annex set at the foot of the South Downs, in a countryside location. Apartment layout is all on the ground floor, so easy access and no stairs to climb. Private parking available.
“We stayed in Natalie’s cute little flat for 4 nights with our 3 children. Everything was perfect and Natalie was very welcoming and the communication with her was great. The rooms are very spacious, our baby slept in a travel cot (provided by Natalie) in our room and there was still plenty of space. The whole flat was spotlessly clean and everything is new and in great condition. The kitchen and bathroom are lovely. A high chair was provided as well as the travel cot. There is no sitting room in the flat but there is a hallway where there is a small dining table, this didn’t bother us at all as we were lucky enough to have great weather so we sat out on the little patio area in the evenings while the kids were asleep. Everything felt very Covid safe. There was hand sanitiser in the entrance hall and all the windows were left open when we arrived. We were asked to strip the beds when we left, which we were happy to do. The flat is in a great location. The South Downs are literally on the doorstep and we went to the nearby beaches of Goring-by-Sea, Littlhampton and Worthing. We also ventured a little further to West Wittering. There are lots of pubs and places to eat nearby, including the Frankland Arms which is walking distance. All in all I would highly recommend Natalie’s place. Thanks for a lovely stay!”
