The 2,500-m² site comprises just two accommodation units. Two kilometres further on is the village of Nieuwleusen, which has a bakery, a supermarket and a few eateries. The Hanseatic city of Zwolle is 10 km away. Cycling in the Staphorsterbos, which features a natural swimming pond, is highly recommended.
