The house is located at the entrance to Saltfjellet -Svartisen National Park, on Storvollen. A great starting point for trips. Choose between short/long sled rides with dogs, hiking or skiing in a beautiful hiking terrain. Or mushroom picking, hunting, fishing or hiking in DNT routes. The house is from around the 1800s, and the entire facility is protected. It is nevertheless modernly upgraded, but kept in an old farmhouse style which gives a completely unique atmosphere. It has room for many, and has a dog yard outside.

The boat to Svartisen are approximately 400 m away from the cabin, so this is a perfect place to start glacier hiking. If you like fishing there is fishing gear available.
