My place is good for couples, friends, and solo adventurers. It's a quiet little retreat with all the basics including a full kitchen, HDTV (with Direct TV, HBO, Showtime etc.), the swamp cooler works great for the dry desert conditions, and a pellet stove to stay cozy during the colder weather. Cellphone signs are strong and we have high speed Internet with WIFI!
“ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. This Airbnb is now our new favorite place. We fell in love with every detail of this cabin and Randsburg. We adored how Matt was able to refurbish this historical cabin with so many modern details, yet still felt like you are apart of this living ghost town. The views are also beautiful and the sunsets are picturesque. Had great cell phone reception and WiFi. All the locals were very nice. We truly felt like we got a peaceful relaxing weekend. We love the desert and the mountains, and Randsburg is the perfect combination of both. We definitely want to come back. Thanks for letting us experience this wonderful place.”
Some 100 years in the past when this now Ghost Town was bustling with 1000’s of people during the Gold Rush Days, this row house was a bordello. The cabin has all the comforts of home in one cozy 14’x16’ room with a TV, DVD player (some DVD’s provided), a refrigerator, a small propane stove/oven a toilet, sink, and a tub/shower. On the back porch is a propane BBQ grill where you can relax, cook your meal, and enjoy the view of the Main Street (Butte) which only is a short walk away.
“Cool little cabin in a gold mining ghost town! On our way to the Trona Pinnacles and Death Valley, we used Rusty and Debbie's place to explore Randsburg, Johannesburg, Red Rock Canyon State Park and many other places in the great wide open that characterizes this part of California. Great communication, the place was reasonably priced, clean, and had everything thing we needed for our visit. Definitely appreciate the hospitality!”
A nice place to relax. Truly a rustic cabin in the desert. In the summer you will arrive to a nice cool cabin,if your traveling in winter the cabin will be cozy and the beds will be warm, thanks to our electric mattress pads.
“We arrived well after dark on New Year’s Day so didn’t get to meet the hosts. We were greeted however with two sparkling Christmas trees on the porch and a cozy, warm, ultra-clean little house! A most welcome sanctuary in the vast, dark, cold desert. The beds were soft and the blankets just right. Not too thick not too thin. The living room heater is a charming electric fireplace. The bathroom is accessed on a short boardwalk and also cozy, clean, and comfortable. The morning coffee they provided was a nice treat. Do bring your own food though. There were a couple pop tarts and a bag of pasta in the cupboard. They may have been left by other guests. Some spices were also available. The town of Randsburg is a gem of funky desert history punctuated with many surprising decorations. I also highly recommend the Historic Owl Cafe on Highway 395, which serves only coffee and a goldmine of information. Cindy’s is the perfect place to stay during your desert adventure!”
