We are in the middle of Suffolk countryside, surrounded by fields with amazing views, colourful sunrises & sunsets. There is a maze of footpath & permitted walks right on our door-step. Ideal for that quiet week-end. Spectacular thunderstorms sometimes occur as the cloud formations follow the river valleys. During these storms rain-bows appear. We've not yet found a pot of gold though! At night if the sky is cloudless you can see all the stars & spot the well-known constellations.
“A cosy, beautiful place to stay which feels like a true escape. The annex is very well designed, warm, spacious and spotlessly clean. The little farm is lovely with horses, chickens and Boudicca the dog! We felt so welcome, loved the extra touches like the fresh eggs and breakfast items. Would definitely return in future!”
Private room in my bungalow, i work two jobs so not always around.Asda is 0.8 mile. 1.6 miles from the beach. 1 mile from everts park and the Norfolk broad's, lots of lovely walks here with lovely wildlife. Both Oulton broad north and south stations are both 1 mile away, south station takes you towards Beccles - Ipswich - London Liverpool street and north station takes you to Norwich. At the end of the road 0.1 miles away is a shop open 8am - 10 pm. The town centre is 1.8 miles away.
“Richie is a great host, his house is absolutely immaculate, in a very good condition and super clean. Richie has given a lot of attention to details both inside the house and outside in the garden. Shame I didn't get a chance to use the jacuzzi!! Next time as I will definitely come back and I highly recommend staying with him!”
If you’re looking for a peaceful place to wind down for a weekend or short break Red Poll Barn is ideal, overlooking a moat with south facing private sun deck and views of the water from all rooms. The single storey accommodation is well equipped and beautifully furnished in soft shades of grey with pops of colour with unique artefacts complimenting the old beams in the high ceilings, which create a light and airy open plan living space. The coast is only a 15 minute drive away and if you bring your own rods, you can fish in the pond.
“A great location to discover Suffolk and the coast with the delightful small towns of Bungay and Halesworth close by. Tasteful barn conversion has lots of light and space and is very quiet. Good facilities for self catering. Footpaths across the fields close to property so dog friendly too. Nice touches of wine plus homemade jam and shortbread on arrival too. Good local advice in the folder. Had a very chilled holiday.”
