This private timber-framed guesthouse is a stone's throw from Seymour Lake and a ten minute drive from downtown Smithers. It has beautiful wood furnishings, a king-sized bed, a fully-stocked kitchen, and is situated on a large forested property. Our place is perfect for couples looking to get away; fishers, hunters, and skiers searching for a home base; and travellers wanting to experience the British Columbian wilderness.
“If you are looking for a relaxing quiet getaway this is the spot. It is nestled in the woods with views of the lake but still only a 10 minute drive to town or a 15 minute drive up to the ski hill. Bill and Liz are excellent hosts and are happy to provide you with everything you need. The cabin itself is beautifully designed and you can tell a lot of thought and care went into the finishing touches. You have access to the lake which you can walk on in the winter or swim in during the summer. There is also a sauna they allow you access to which is a quick walk down for the cabin. It definitely exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend it to anyone.”
Lakefront cabin with access to swimming and canoeing in the summer. Cross country skiing and skating in the winter. Fishing in the fall (5 minutes away) and downhill skiing in the winter (30 minutes away)!
“Great place, can totally see why Pamela has super host status. Had plenty of fire wood and all amenities as well which was a nice touch. Had everything we needed for a quiet weekend away from it all. Lake was frozen with the rink in great condition and even got to cross country ski on the lake. Conditions were perfect. Being in a rural area internet was not great but had plenty of cell service so found it quicker operating off our phone service. Would definitely stay here again!”
This tiny house is great for a one night stay, but if you are flexible this could be a great, cheap, location for a vacation. It has a very nice outhouse 5 minutes away, which includes a beautiful walk over a little hill.It has power and some wifi and weak cell signal, which is great for texting. There is a little camp stove available so you can make your meals. There is also running water on the property, just not at the tiny house itself,no showers are available atm. Can’t wait to hear from you:)
“Arrived late & left early; wish I could have stayed longer. Was greeted by welcoming hosts at the gate & guided to the cabin. Stayed at the tiny house, sitting on a hill with gorgeous views of the lake country, the tiny house provided a cozy shelter with electrical, however the walk to the outhouse is not for the faint of heart. There are several other cabins at the ranch varying in size and amenities. Absolutely recommend to stay & experience the incredible bush of the Nechako Valley.”
