Beautiful boathouse at Fogn in Ryfylke

The boathouse is very tastefully decorated, and is beautifully located right by the quay. Good communication makes it easy to get to/from Stavanger and attractions in the region. The boathouse has two jetties and a small boat, as well as great hiking, swimming and fishing opportunities. It is located southwest-facing which means many nice sunsets. We are in the process of developing a cozy and charming little place with brewery, cafe and shop. You can order fresh items for breakfast, lunch and dinner - everything served and sold is made here.

PS: The farm has no animals, but a nice golden retriever roams freely around. If you are afraid of dogs, another residence is recommended. Welcome to Fjordbris! Here you can get an overnight stay in the scenic area of Dirdal with an unforgettable view. With only a few meters to the fjord, an almost has the experience of sleeping in the water. All amenities are available either in the tiny house or in the basement of the shop Dirdalstraen Gardsutsalg nearby. The farm shop was named Norway's best farm shop in 2023 and 2025 and is a small attraction in itself. Right next door you will find a sauna that can be booked with equally good views.

On the way down to a nice swimming area, you can see and explore Southwest Norway's largest concentration of rock carving fields. Sheep and lamb can be experienced up close. Åmøy is also a good starting point if you want to visit famous places such as Utstein Abbey, Prekestolen, Sola beaches, Ørnhaug visitor farm, Kongeparken, etc.
