What guests are saying:“We had such a wonderful week here. The house is compact but has everything you need, is very comfortable and very clean! In fact the house was cleaned, with fresh bedding and towels every couple of days. There are two private outside spaces - a terrace on the ground floor with table and chairs for four. Upstairs there is a large balcony/terrace with even better views, a couple of loungers and table and chairs for two people. Both bedrooms have access directly to one of these spaces. The pool is even more stunning than it looks in photos! It's a luxurious area with plenty of loungers, seating, and even a bathroom and kitchen. The pool is shared between a few accommodations but we rarely saw anyone there and frequently had the space to ourselves. All in all, a beautiful place to relax in between exciting adventures around the island!”
Alambique has a double bedroom with a balcony, living room with a wood burning stove, TV, kitchen, bathroom and 2 terraces. Capacity: 2 people (+ 2 1 sofa-bed for a kid at the living room). Alambique is 1 of the 3 cottages of Quinta Velha das Amoreiras, located at the peaceful outskirts of Vila Franca do Campo, classified as rural tourism within a farm covering an area of 300.000 ft2, which extends all the way to the sea, with amazing views.
What guests are saying:“This place is incredible and Miguel an amazing host. If I could rate higher than 5, I would. The houses are beautiful and the surroundings astounding, however what really puts this airbnb over the top is the hospitality. We arrived late due to the airline and we hadn't eaten dinner. When we arrived we found a basket full of island produced food, including milk, cheese, bread, and jam. We purchased a pineapple and it was cut right off the plant and handed to us. We also purchased bananas grown on the property as well. There is plenty of coffee, tea, and sugar to use and the kitchens were well equipped. It was an unbelievable stay and I wish we could have stayed longer. I hope to be back some day.”
Casa do Agrião is located between Furnas and Povoação, in the heart of a typical azorean forest. It is one of the most private and silent refuges you can find in the islands and is served by a stunning looking pool carved in the rock.
What guests are saying:“Francisco's house is in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of a forest, surrounded by beautiful nature, with no other houses and people around. We loved it. It was also ideal for our 2 crazy kids especially the very big garden and the "party zone" in the garden where we spent all evenings after travelling around. The opportunity to use the pool was fabulous, the walk there is really steep (takes 20 min up the hill on the way back), but well worth it, with amazing views to the ocean while bathing in the pool with water directly from the ocean. It's worth to walk to the closby village for food, after spending some hours in the pool. The local bar with chicken wings and garlic bread is fantastic. Everyone we met either when checking in or when going to the pool, or shop or restaurants is super helpful, the hospitality of locals is extraordinary, they welcome tourists with love and care.
