The Wind Mill

Beautifully located in hills overlooking the Atlantic Ocean sits the Marinhas windmill. The windmill dates from the year 1758 and was built in the traditional northern Portuguese style with circular walls, two floors, an entrance on the grown floor and two windows on the upper floor. It is classified as a municipal heritage building. The mill is 130 meters above sea level thus providing a breathtaking view over the towns and ocean and a unique retreat for the more adventurous guest.

Welcome to our cozy two-story home by the lake! We’ve kept the charming granite façade typical of the region, while the interior is clean, comfortable, and fully equipped for a relaxing stay. Located in the heart of Peneda-Gerês National Park, you’ll have access to scenic hikes, thermal baths, and breathtaking nature. Just 1 hour from Braga and 90 minutes from Porto. P.S. The stairs to the bedroom are steep and not recommended for guests with reduced mobility.

Please read the description: T2 on the first floor of villa in the town of Rio Caldo- Gerês. River beach access (Praia da Barca). Equipped kitchen, barbecue, linens and towels. Wifi. Air conditioning (for this reason we did not provide firewood for the fireplace). As it is an apartment in a villa with several spaces, the exterior can be used as a passage by others. However, there are outside table and chairs for the exclusive use of the guests.

Rustic style house, Located in a typical rural parish, very quiet in the middle of the Peneda do Geres Natural Park. Ideal for a well-deserved vacation or weekends, where you can enjoy a magnificent landscape overlooking the caniçada dam lake with direct access to it, where rest and comfort are guaranteed. The house is furnished, has bed and bath linens, air conditioning, barbecue area in the garden and parking lot.
