This is an older cabin with simple decor and power supply with solar panel. There is a possibility to charge mobile in USB outlets. There is a fireplace with wood burning, possibility for barbecue, refrigerator, and stove/cooking with gas. There are plates, bowls, glasses, cups and cutlery, cheese slicer, and can opener. There is no running water, so we fill up the water jug with clean drinking water, which can be used for both cooking and washing dishes An outhouse is set up outside the cabin Rental of bed linen NOK 150 per set per person At NOK 120 per bag.

Welcome to our newly purchased boathouse on idyllic Vassøy – a small and quiet island just a short boat ride from Stavanger city center. Here you literally live by the sea, surrounded by beautiful nature and with access to the beach, hiking trails and local shop. We have recently taken over this boathouse and are looking forward to sharing it with our first guests. The place is perfect for couples, small families or friends who want a quiet break from everyday life – with sea air, simple comfort and proximity to nature.

Gamlahuset by the sea - near Stavanger

"Gamlahuset" from around 1880 is rented out. The house is located on a small courtyard in Gardsvågen on Talgje, 100 meters from the lake. Here there is a beach, and there are hiking trails around almost the entire island. From Gardsvågen it is 1 km to the speedboat dock. From here it is 20-50 min by speedboat to Stavanger. It is 35 minutes by car to Stavanger city center. At Talgje there are also opportunities for frisbee golf and sauna rental (Anker Gaard) and there is a sand volleyball court 1 km from the house.

With only a few meters to the fjord, an almost has the experience of sleeping in the water. All amenities are available either in the tiny house or in the basement of the shop Dirdalstraen Gardsutsalg nearby. The farm shop was named Norway's best farm shop in 2023 and 2025 and is a small attraction in itself. Right next door you will find a sauna that can be booked with equally good views.

About 60 meters walk from the cabin there is a beach followed by a nice hiking road along the sea. Close proximity to Stavanger center (5-7 min) by car or boat.

Boathouse by the lake in Sokn, Stavanger

The boathouse is brand new and part of the seaside house environment towards Soknasundet. There is a jetty with fishing opportunities. Buildings and furniture are made by the renowned architect Espen Surnevik. If you come by boat there is plenty of room for the boat at the jetty. The boathouse is part of Sokn Gard (see fb) which has many animals you can visit, and the farm has 5 km of hiking trails.
