Description

The space

Hi,

the apartment is not even 5 minutes away from the beach (walking of course). It has a comfortable big bed for two people and one extra bed. There is a little cooking corner and clean, new made bath room with a shower.

Next to the apartment are several grocery stores and restaurants.

The city Center is 12 Minutes by bus. The busses run regularly. UNESCO World Heritage Curonian Spit is about one hour away and can also easily reached by bus.

If you take a bus north (6-8 minutes) you will get to the wild, empty beaches and further to the famous spa town Palanga.

We'll be happy to answer any questions and give you tipps on where and how to travel around.

Jelena and Jonas will, if you want to, tell and show you more about the Lithuanian Culture, Foods and Drinks.

(We speak Lithuanian, Russian, English and German)

We had a nice stay! Although Edita was out of town, her mother took great care of us and offered any support we needed! Thank you!

The cozy apartment is a good value. Edita is very responsive and helpful. She responds to any requests in a very short time. Klaipeda is a nice area to visit. The apartment was equipped as represented and I was even able to use a nearby washing machine and clothes drying rack. Despite being on a somewhat main road, the apartment was quiet and peaceful. I advise that you get clear directions before you come. A car GPS will being you close to the location but not to the exact spot.

Edita was prompt in responding to my messages about the apartment and checking in. Even though the address is on the property, we did have trouble finding the flat as we were not expecting it to be in a rundown block behind a bar beside a big car park. I agree with Susan's comments in July 15 except that our sheets were new and clean - maybe because of her feedback. This is a very shabby, dirty, smelly flat. I wore shoes the whole time because the floor was so dirty. The sponges in the kitchen were mouldy. The bathroom arrangement is completely inadequate. We could not wait to leave. We were very disappointed that we had chosen to stay there and were even more disappointed with how much we had paid to stay there.

The hosts mum was friendly and all was fine, however the appartment wasn't that cosy as writen. Indeed it had a moisture odor, maybe because it was partly in the celler, passing not so welcoming corridor. Maybe they have nicer rooms, as in summer all was busilly occupied with the guests that love drinking at night in the courtyard, but the one we got was with kid of poor conditions. Simply would say too pricy for such conditions.

Edita was the best person to communicate with and she was so helpful about things to do around town. She was not in town, but her parents run the restaurant next door and they were friendly. But honestly the room left a lot to be desired. The upholstered furniture was stained and shabby and sagging. The bed was a turned out sofa bed, also sagging, and the bedding was coarse and old. Possibly not clean. The shower was a disaster, a contraption fixed to the sink, and the drain was poor. Water all over, even with the most modest and controlled use. The location was fine, walking distance to a nice beach, and right at a bus stop to go to the old town. But this place needs some fleshing up, starting with new sheets.
