Are you toying with the idea of a tiny home but not sure if you can do it? Or looking for a quick getaway to recharge and get in touch with nature? Stay at my modern cabin with a loft.
Nestled on shy wooded, private 6 acres. Pets welcome!
The micro cabin has a full kitchen with a small fridge, small oven, a microwave and a toaster. The stylish ladder leads up to the loft with a plush and cozy queen size bed. The loft is flooded with natural light during daylight hours.
Decorated with attention to every detail, design lovers will appreciate the midcentury modern touches.
It's breathtaking to look up at the sky and see the vast amount of stars that are almost impossible to see anywhere near city lights. Take a moment to be.
Guests can take advantage of the property and explore the trail looping around behind the cabin. There is enough firewood stocked to use (during the summer) in the large fire pit and zero gravity chairs add to the relaxation around the roaring fire pit.
The canoe is available to use at no extra charge. Guests must be able to transport to the lake and provide own life vests. Please note discovery pass is needed to park at the lake which is located 3 minutes away.
Interaction with guests
Satellite internet is available, guests are welcome to text, email and call me throughout the stay with questions and comments.
I do not live on the property and do not visit during your stay to assure complete and utter privacy. :-)
Other things to note
Hot shower, fresh linens, fully stocked pantry, tasteful decor, soft blankets, smart TV, and yes, a slide. Because, why not?
P.S. In addition to washing/ironing the linen, I wash all the blankets/throws between guests.
Attention: compost toilet! It's a fancy one: looks and feels like a regular toilet but does not flush by design. It takes a little getting used to but saves hundreds of gallons of water and keeps our little plant green.
I love my cabin, please treat as if it were yours. I want to keep sharing it with those who can appreciate the beauty for years to come.
Please remove your shoes - there is a shoe basket by the door. Before you leave, make sure the stove is off and the heater is turned down to 55.
Please note: this is a recreational property. The Internet may get spotty, the toilet can get full (it's a compost waterless wonder), there are bugs and flies and birds and occasional baby rabbits on the property. Bring an open mind and a sense of adventure!
You may use the canoe if you have a way to haul it and the lake parking does require a discover pass.
If you have allergies, please bring rescue medication. There is a first aid kit inside the mirror next to the door for minor cuts and aches.
Most of all, have a great time recharging in the presence of nature.
I am fascinated with learning new concepts and expanding my view of the world on a daily basis. I can rarely sit still, love unique architecture, simplicity, modernism, minimalism, snow boarding, hiking, reading, guns, knives, cooking but most of all good food, good drinks and good company.
My dog Zigi is adopted from Taiwan and she is my canine shadow - we are scary alike. Zigi loves to stay at the cabin and becomes strangely fearless there.
I love to travel and have explored London, Amsterdam, Florence, the Tuscany region, Cinque Terre, did a castle tour of Scotland and planning my next adventure to Japan in the next 5 years.
I am also a healthcare administrator in an innovation department and an RN.
Life philosophies: Every day is a gift. Nature is a great source of calm. We reach our best potential once we fully accept ourselves as we are.
