The hosts are great. The view from the house is great. Aunty's food was delicious. The walk is too steep. Kids and old people will find it tough to walk up and down. The rooms and bathroom looked pretty old.

Response from Prashant:
Hi Satya. Thanks for the wonderful stay and for taking out time to leave a response. The walk, as mentioned by everybody else is indeed steep, and is communicated to the guests along with the house rules before confirming the reservation, and since it's a heritage building, the look and feel of our house is a bit vintage. Thanks for your feedback though. Do come back again sometime!

We booked rose oak which had a double bed and a single bed and plenty of natural light. It is ideal for two to three people who are looking solely for a peaceful environment. The house is lovely and have other cozy and different rooms as options but the house is meant only for travellers who value peace and comfort of a home not for those who are planning to come in large numbers. The walk up the hill insures that you will reach far from the towns hustle and buslte. Those who opt for this stay should keep in mind to pack lightly, be willing to trek a little to enjoy the simplicity of this place, garden areas, quietness and home food. We decided to extended our stay for another night at Meadow, which is even better!

Response from Prashant:
Is that really the best you could come up with, after having read my review of yours which stated what all we had to bear in the middle of night from your drunk and misbehaved group? Please don't demean anyone with such senseless and uncalled rants. We all know what went down in the night.

My family stayed at Prashant's place for 2 days and we loved every bit of it. The view is spectacular and the place has a very homely feel about it. Prashant and his mom were extremely hospitable and it was wonderful making their acquaintance. Also, auntie's food was delicious! The place has a beautiful quiet and is great for anyone wanting to avoid the crowd in Nainital and wishing to connect with mother nature. We would love to go back again.

The place has a good view of the lake . As the description already mentions it involves a bit of a climb but we did not face any problem because of that. Thanks to aunty for her hospitality and awesome poori bhaji.

I'm a student living in Delhi, but my head and my heart is always wandering in the landscapes of Nainital, my hometown. I try to seize every opportunity to go back and spend time at home. Having an eclectic taste for music and movies, I often achieve an unbelievable level of procrastination, love to gorge on anything and everything, and can be extremely awkward sometimes, like the most of us.
My parents would be the ones usually hosting you, as I'm mostly engaged with my studies at Delhi. They love meeting new people, and would give you tons of information and directions on travelling in and around the town, often over a cuppa tea :)
