Little house private passio, two beds, and a bathroom.
The surrounding is all natures, as the house is in a two acres organic tropical farm. Good spot for bird watching and very quiet during the night, perfect to chill from long travelling.

The space

This is a very private little house situated in the back of the tropical garden. It has its own passio and two beds. The floor and the bathroom are all tiled. You got a pleasant feeling of intimacy with the nature, as greens are the main colors of the. surrounding. Very quiet nights, with the jungly musical background of the nature sounds.

Guest access

You got the full house for your self, and you have access to the communal kitchen to cook.

Interaction with guests

Yes I can arrange activities such as horseback riding, visit to the jungle with a tour guide, kayaking, sailing, bikes rental, visit at the Shipstern Nature Reserve.

It s a backpackers place, quiet most of the time. Due to lots of space and trees between the cabanas, you get a feeling of intimacy and privacy. Do whatever you want in your room as long as you don t destroy anything or set it on fire. Expect smokers in the communal area, but its all open with screens, so no aquarium effect. Only one hard rule to follow absolutely, please don t trow your dirty toilet paper in the toilet, we have weak plumbing !, but a great wifi connection.

Nathalie's place is just lovely! I stayed there in September, the low season so I was the only guest and she upgraded me to the cottage for no extra charge. The atmosphere is very relaxing and Sarteneja is a beautiful little town to spend a few days in. Nathalie is a great host, very welcoming and helpful. She was very communicative before I got to sarteneja, giving me tips on the best way to get there. Will definitely like to come back! Wifi in the communal area works great and just a couple minute walk from the bus drop off/pick up.

Try to get the cabins. The small huts are tight and my bed was not comfortable. lots of mosquitos.

Nathalie's place is awesome for people who like being surrounded by nature in a quiet location. We arrived with the car which was a bumpy ride in... But the public bus stop is right outside the hostel. We got an upgrade to a bigger cabin which was awesome, rustic but clean and homely. The wifi works well in the common area/ kitchen which was a nice space to use with hammocks and basic cooking equipment. As it was mango season we could eat as many as we wanted to, which was great!!! Its close to the village , but quiet and peaceful at night. Nathalie was always there for questions, tour bookings or coffee in the morning :-) I would go back anyday !

This place is exactly what is says on the tin. It's back to basics :) The communal room was great to cook in the evenings and swing in the hammocks and meet other like minded travellers. This is a place to learn the art of doing nothing. It's a great place if you want to chill, read and take in the nature around you. The village is very small but beautiful on the sea front - a must visit. And the stars are just breathtaking! We stayed in cabana 4 (the furthest away from the communal area) the bed was too small for two people (both 5'9) and the mosquito net did a good job although there are a few holes in it. We also had a few issues with our bathroom (leaks and the odd smell) however, this is in the jungle and therefore not everything works smoothly. We stayed 3 nights - We enjoyed it. Thanks for having us :)

Nathalie User ProfileNathalie is a superhost.

I am a wildlife biologist, born in Geneva in 1979. I have moved to Belize 10 years ago to open a hostel in an organic farm. I don t have a car but does groceries shopping and pick up guests at the pier with a horse buggy. I like to keep this animal traction tradition alive and enjoy a zero carbon foot print transport. I also like House music and have been DJing in Belize for 3 years. I like to study animal behavior . I am more an introvert type but enjoy socializing and playing music ( but not late).
