The space
Welcome to Brick Haven Villa!
Hi there! Please read this message and the cancellation policy before booking. Extra fees may apply if the rules are not followed.
Important Rules:
• Thermostat: Please do not turn the thermostat below 70°F. A $50 fee will apply.
• Cleaning: If the grill is not cleaned after use, there’s a $25 fee.
-Stains requiring extra cleaning will incur a $50 fee (standard) or more based on severity. If we have to dispose of the linen or property, you will be charged the fee of the item.
• Pets: No pets! If you bring them, you will automatically incur a $50 charge And we will ask you to leave. You could incur a $100 carpet shampoo fee if you break the rules. We tried to let pets come but guests have took advantage.
House Details: Please don't take out of home. If you notice anything is missing, let us know.
Bedrooms:
• Master Bedroom:
• Queen bed
• Bathtub, shower and vanity
• TV with Roku, DVD player, and a small DVD collection
• Hair straightener and blow dryer in the vanity drawer
Bedroom 2:
• Queen bed and closet
TVs in all bedrooms if you take the remotes, $20 charge for each remote
Bedroom 3:
• Bunk bed (full on bottom, twin on top), futon, and walk-in closet
• Closet includes toys, extra linens, and an air mattress
Note: Fan and light cannot be used simultaneously; a lamp is provided
Living Spaces:
Den:
• Ashley queen sofa sleeper (linens in basket under the side table)
• Doggy door installed (bugs may sneak in)
We do have a working fireplace, but we do not supply the wood. Please be safe when using it. There are fire extinguishers in home. Please clean up after using it or an extra fee of $25 will be charged to pay cleaning technicians.
Living Room:
• Large smart TV with Roku (sign in/out of your accounts)
• Fireplace under the TV for extra warmth
Dining & Kitchen:
• Dining table for 6; bar table for 2
• Fully equipped kitchen:
Gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, George Foreman grill, pressure cooker, crockpot, kettle, blender, and more. Please don’t throw out silverware. We have purchased 3 different sets and we are down to a few. Another set has been added
• Single-cup coffee maker and water jugs for hikes (please return jugs after use) we try to keep sugar and pods in stock but its not always provided
• Note: Do not use the table as a cutting board ($100 fee)
Bathrooms:
Both bathrooms have been recently renovated. Towels and extra blankets are in the bathroom closet.
Laundry Room:
Includes HE washer and dryer with some supplies, plus a vacuum, broom, and mop. Extra cleaning supplies can be found it cabinets.
There are also books in here for your enjoyment. While we had a lot more games and items, some have went missing. Please let me know if I have listed something and its not there. We try to do inventory daily but we occasionally miss things. Please do not take any items from our property. Extra Fees will apply
Outdoor Space:
• Fenced backyard (some slats missing) stickers have been noted, we are aware and have been spraying
We will be working on the yard come spring.
Do not park in our yard. We have a sprinkler system and fees could occur for damaging the property.
• Patio with swing, grill, and table for 4
Note: Clean the grill after use to avoid a $25 clean fee

• Neighborhood: Safe and quiet, though not all neighbors maintain their yards. This is a bricked doublewide trailer, and the area is not luxury.
• Background: This is my childhood home, which I purchased from my parents. It holds sentimental value, and I’m renovating as I go.

• 52 miles to Guadalupe Mountains
• Nearby Allsup’s for supplies (try the Beef & Bean Burrito!)

This is not a brand-new home and has imperfections, but it is cozy, clean, and well-equipped for a relaxing stay. We appreciate your understanding and care for our property. If something is missing or there’s an issue, let me know immediately, and I’ll do my best to resolve it. If you want or need a new home, this is not the listing for you.

Other things to note
Side note: We are close to the Caverns!! We are located on the south side of Carlsbad-32 miles from Caverns. The caverns have a place to board your pets.
A few blocks away, there is an Allsups (if you haven't had a Beef and Bean burrito or a Chimichanga before, try one; be sure and ask for Taco Sauce). We don’t have ice, so you can pick up a bag on the way.
There is an Urgent Care 1 mile away at 2823 National Parks Hwy.
Taqueria Jalisco (a Mexican restaurant) is a mile away at 4103 National Parks Hwy. This has been a guest favorite!!
Kids are welcome! However, we may have to charge an extra fee if you do not clean up after your kids.
Want to see aliens? Roswell is 1.5 hours away!
White Sands is 3.5 hours away from the Caverns.
Keep in mind-We live in the desert, and in the hotter season, you will see mosquitos, flies, and other insects and creatures. We have the house sprayed monthly, but occasionally, they can creep out. Please let me know if you see anything so I can report this to our sprayer.
Extra fees may incur for the following:

-removing items from the home
-any broken items found
-parking in the yard
We try hard to purchase nice things and hope that you will take care of them. Owning an Airbnb is a lot of work and a lot of expenses and we try to go above and beyond for each tenant. We are trying to renovate the entire home but unexpected expenses keep arising from other issues in the home. Please be aware this is not a new home. There are imperfections. But it is really nice inside and cozy! It houses several people comfortably! There are many positives to this home and there will always be some negatives but we will try to accommodate as best as we can. Thank you for reading this.
