CASAFLORA is a spacious and comfortable house built in concrete and cypres wood. It's a cozy house designed with beautiful wooden high ceilings that will make you feel at home. Four bedrooms, comfortable living and dining room with a fireplace, fully equiped kitchen, TV room, studio, one classroom, one terrace, and two balconies with a spectacular view of the mountains and the town of San Cristóbal Norte.
CASAFLORA: Bed & Breakfast/Spanish Home-School offers you bedrooms for one or two people with shared bathroom (hot water) and a delicious typical breakfast (coffee or tea, natural juice, cereal, tropical fruits, butter, cheese and jam, Gallo Pinto with eggs, bread and tortillas.) Laundry service and wireless internet connection.
As a home-school, it has a comfortable classroom where you can learn Spanish.
The Spanish program includes tuition, room, and board, and students can take classes for three, four or more hours, from Monday to Friday. Class starts since student gets up in the morning with the preparation of breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Students can enhance their linguistic experience with cultural activities such as Latin Dance classes, Cooking lessons, Art, Folcklore or different fieldtrips to ecological, touristic or historic sites of public interest.
The Spanish program is very personalized, intensive and contextualized given its formal and informal nature as a whole day class, and can be taken for a minimum of two weeks. Contact me for more specific details.
CASAFLORA will give its students materials designed exclusively in order to achieve a successful and nice learning process of the Spanish language, and its curricular and philophical foundations is based on the CEFR (Common European Framework of References for Languages.) If your main interest is to concentrate on a specific linguistic field, CASAFLORA will be glad to design a special program for you according to your personal requirements.
The Home-School is located in the beautiful town of SAN CRISTOBAL NORTE, which belongs to the county of Desamparados, in the province of San José, Costa Rica.
San Cristóbal is well known for its beautiful mountains, its pure and frsh air, and its friendly people who are always willing to welcome all those who visit or stay. It's located at 15 miles from the city of Cartago, or 30 miles from San José, and all the regular means of transportation will have access to this small town (cars, taxis, buses, motorcycles, bycicles.)
Bus service from Cartago can be taken for 495 colones (Costa Rican currency), and one hour ride will let you have one of the nices experiencies to your eyes, for the natural scenario along the trip has no comparisson.
Cartago was the first capital of Costa Rica and it is a 500,000 people city that invites to visit many of its special attractions: the Ruins of the Santiago Church, the Central Farmers Market, the Shrine of our Lady of The Angels,and other beautiful churches, the Museum, the Lankaster Botanical Garden, the Irazú Volcano, the Orosi Valley, the Tapanti Biologycal Reserve, and many other sites of personal interest.
