Description

The space

Farmstay 3 is located in the Casita which is one of our guest buildings at Blue Tongue Berries. The space is a hotel style private guest room with its own ensuite. This farmstay also has a private lounge room with wood fire heater. A sofa bed can be setup in the lounge for an extra guest on request. This farmstay has lockable private entry. Please note this farmstay does not contain a kitchen but does have a gas burner for a kettle. There is also no air conditioner.

Blue Tongue Berries is a 20 acre organic blueberry farm located near Seymour in Central Victoria. We farm premium quality organic blueberries and sell to the local region. We also produce seasonal fruit, vegetables, free-range eggs and lamb. We believe in self-sufficient living and produce our own food, power and water. The farm is completely off the grid and runs on a hybrid solar and wind power system. Our main building is constructed from strawbales and has an energy efficient design. The property overlooks the stunning Tallarook Ranges and is a short distance from the Goulburn River, Lake Nagambie and several popular wineries. The fully serviced town of Seymour with a population of over 6000 is only 5 minutes drive away and contains a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and entertainment. The farm is only one hour north of Melbourne and can be easily accessed by train or car. Seymour itself is located on the main highway and railway line between Melbourne and Sydney. The region is primarily known for its wineries, fruit production and horse studs.

Guest access

Blue Tongue Berries has several buildings on the property including:
The Cantina, our cafe style dining room that contains our commercial kitchen and produce store. Breakfast is served to guests in the Cantina on request. The Hacienda, our bespoke strawbale building which encompasses a passive heating and cooling design. The Hacienda contains the Great Hall function room for lounging, private functions and events, and contains farmstays 1 & 2. The Casita, our original weatherboard house that overlooks the blueberries and contains farmstays 3 & 4. Free Wifi is available in all buildings as our property is connected to the NBN, a fast unlimited internet connection.

Loved this place. Nice and peaceful, and similar price to very average motels in town. Wish we had time to actually enjoy it
