About this listing
Our bright and airy artist's loft in the heart of Bushwick, surrounded by galleries, cafes, and cool bars.
Welcome to our bright and airy loft in the heart of Bushwick!
In your bright and sunny private bedroom you'll have a soft, comfy bed with fresh sheets and fresh towels, plus access to everything in our shared common space, WiFi, a fridge, stove, and French press for morning coffee (but why would you cook when you're surrounded by some of Brooklyn's best restaurants?), a copious amount of books, and record player with records. You also have roof access where you can enjoy the view of Manhattan and have a cocktail watching the sunset.
Interaction with guests
We live here in the master bedroom so we'll be around to greet you for a smooth check-in, and will be able to provide killer recommendations for all of our favorite things to eat, do, and see in the neighborhood (and beyond). We're also happy to invite you to film screenings, art openings, music shows and any other interesting events we may be heading to/think you may be into.
Bushwick is one of the most exciting neighborhoods in Brooklyn; old factories and warehouses have been converted to lofts and artist's spaces, and there are tons of galleries, music venues, cafes, book stores, vintage clothing shops, and countless spots for cheap tacos, fancy brunch, dinner, and cocktails.
Our apartment is a few blocks away from the Morgan L stop on the subway, (the center of Bushwick), so you're within walking distance to all of the best neighborhood spots. The L train will also take you to Williamsburg in 10 minutes and to Manhattan in 20 minutes. We're also a 10 minute walk from the M train which takes you to downtown Manhattan (the Lower East Side, Chinatown, the Bowery) easily and in under half an hour. You can usually find parking on our street but we don't have a dedicated parking spot.
Other things to note
We're on the second floor so there is some New York-related street noise, despite being on a relatively quiet street. We don't notice it at all anymore but if you're an exceptionally light sleeper we suggest bringing earplugs just in case!
We have an adorable 3 year old cat, Tyrone, who is shy at first but will be very cuddly once he warms up! If you're not a fan of cats or allergic, just let us know beforehand and we'll keep your bedroom door closed after we clean it before you arrive so it can be completely cat-free :)
Aside from basic respect of space, we're pretty easy going, both having hosted and been Airbnb guests before. If you smoke, please do so outside or on our roof. Please no unannounced guests.
