The space

The apartment has central air and central heat. It has a full size bed, a desk, a mini kitchen and a private bathroom.

Guest access

The apartment is a studio in the heart of Cambridge. The apartment is close to Boston and it is in the heart of Cambridge. To get to Boston, it is literally a 12 minute Subway ride to the center of Boston. The subway stop is a 2 minute walk from the apartment. Also, it is walking distance to Harvard and MIT if you're visiting a conference. There's also a bus the Fenway if you're looking for a Red Sox game. The apartment is on the second story of a tree lined street in the heart of Central Square. Guests will have access to the Internet, Kitchenette, and all amenities in the apartment. Outside you can explore lovely Harvard Square with all its quaint shops and great restaurants or take the ten minute T (aka the Subway) directly into Boston and explore the freedom trail, walk down town, go to the Italian District (or as we call it, the North End). Or you can walk down the street and see great live music almost any night of the week and eat at an array of fantastic restaurants or gastropubs in Cambridge.

Interaction with guests

I will most likely be just down the street. Sometimes I meet people personally to walk them to the apartment or just give them the key. I work in the hospitality business, so I love to help welcome people to my hometown, Boston!

The neighbourhood

The neighborhood has many coffee shops, restaurants, music venues and easy access to Harvard, MIT or 12 minutes from Boston.

Getting around

1 minute walk from the best subway line that runs almost every 5 minutes to the heart of Boston. It only takes 12 minutes to get downtown.
Parking: I have a parking pass that gives you free parking on the street. However, please return the pass when you leave for other guests.

This apartment is a great location for Cambridge and MIT. Close to lots of amazing coffee, food and bars. It's not very big in terms of square footage but it's all you need. There's a great bed, decent shower, a kitchenette, big desk, and a dining table. Nick was very friendly and provided lots of tips for the area. He responded very quickly to all my questions. I had a great experience and would happily stay here again in the future!

Everything was good. Smaller, but exactly what I needed for a few nights stay.

Nick was a thoughtful and engaged host who made sure that I had everything I needed. Very easy to communicate with both leading up to and during my stay. The studio was cozy and in an awesome Central square location that made traveling around Boston and Cambridge a breeze.

Nick was a gracious, responsible, responsive, and kind host. He met me at a coffee shop to hand off the keys, walked with me to the place, helped me with my considerable luggage, and throughout my month-long stay just made sure I was completely comfortable without being intrusive. He delivered fresh sheets and towels every week or so (a luxury I was not expecting!), and the house was completely stocked with shower supplies, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and paper towels on arrival. I was easily able to cook healthy food during my month-long stay, using the fully functional hot plate, microwave, and George Foreman, alongside the large fridge with a freezer. (There are also multiple ways to make coffee, including an adorable little French press that Nick provided.) The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom clean, and there is a wall unit AC to supplement the central air in the place. (I was there during the transition from summer to fall, but I got the sense that the heating works very well in the building too--important for Massachusetts!) Also, there is a beautiful new flat screen TV, complete with an HDMI cable and a Roku, so that you can plug in your laptop to create a second screen or use the high-speed Internet to watch your favorite shows on the Roku. The location is great, right next to a T-stop and around the corner from pharmacies, restaurants, and the Harvest Food Co-Op which took care of nearly all of my shopping needs. It was also walking distance to MIT, which was perfect for me as I was doing research there for my entire month-long stay. My husband came and visited during my time there, too, and he enjoyed it as well. I will definitely stay here again if I have another extended trip to the area! Thank you so much, Nick!

This was me and my girlfriend's first air bnb experience. We stayed in Nick's place for 3 nights. Nick was very helpful and responsive prior to our stay. He answered all of our questions and provided us with plenty of information regarding transportation, restaurants, and areas of the city that have recently grown in popularity. We met Nick at a coffee shop downtown right next to South Station to retrieve our keys prior to going to the apartment. He is very pleasant and easy going. He even checked in with us during our stay to make sure everything was ok in the apartment. The apartment is perfect for lone travelers or couples, as the bed is a full size. It has everything you need, including a private bathroom. We never saw any neighbors within the building so it felt very intimate, although you can't guarantee you won't see anyone. The apartment is conveniently right next to many forms of public transportation and restaurants. Fyi there is no elevator leading up to the apartment, only stairs, which is no big deal but something to think about if with elderly. Otherwise our first air bnb experience was great, thanks to Nick!
