The Wagon in the Woods is a cosy, bespoke, self-contained little place in the country; ideal for those wanting to get away and enjoy some tranquillity and rest. Features include a double bed, settee, table, bath, toilet, wash basin, electric heating, cooker, fridge. Outdoors; barn covered hot tub, saloon seating area with wood-fired pizza oven and camp fire with BBQ grill. Check in and out times are displayed as the minimum - if we can let you arrive earlier/ leave later, we will.

The space
The huge cartwheel wagon window floods the space with light. The bath is revealed by lifting a trap door in the floor at the base of the window...you can relax in a bath and watch the curious cows wander by and hares leaping across the fields. You have the seclusion of being on the edge of a woodland and feeling like you are a million miles from home, but have the luxuries of an internal flushing toilet, hot water, bath, cooker, fridge and other amenities.

We provide free bubblebath, milk, cereal, wagon wheels, marshmallows and wood for a camp fire.

The barrel hot tub is situated next to the wagon, underneath a cherry tree barn to help shelter from the elements. The hot tub heats up very quickly and runs all year round. Chiminea fire in the barn adds some atmosphere whilst enjoying a drink at the bar seating area.

The outdoor saloon seating area (complete with pizza oven) was built to give you somewhere to sit and feel like you are outdoors but at the same time shelter from our unpredictable English weather! Enjoy a hot chocolate, glass of wine, your freshly baked wood-fired pizza or barbecued dinner in the dry.

The Wagon is situated on Hattingley road, on the outskirts of the small village of Medstead. Rural location with beautiful footpaths and a 20 minute walk from the local pub and village shop. From the decking you can see the Hattingley Valley vineyard through the trees. The Watercress steam train runs along the valley and can be often seen and heard.
