Come stay at the Mad Hatters Cottage just off historic Main Street in Farmington, CT. Visit the town George Washington once called "the village of pretty houses". The cottage is walking distance to Miss Porter's School, a grocery store, restaurants, & many attractions, including:
Farmington Canal Heritage & River Trails
The cottage was built in the 1800s, has 2 stories, 1 bedroom, & almost 800 square feet.
The cottage was built sometime in the 1800s and originally served as an outbuilding to a farm. It may have been a candle shop at one point and the first radio in Farmington was believed to have been in this cottage. The cottage was completely renovated in 2016, but still showcases the charm of the historic structure. The original stone foundation is visible, as is the beautiful wide board pine flooring and tin light fixtures.
The cottage is 800 square feet and 2 stories. It has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a living room, eat-in kitchen, and laundry room. There is a small narrow staircase in the cottage and, as such, it is not handicap accessible.
The entire cottage is available for your use.
