Julian Estates is the name I have given to my 3 story, completely rehabbed and repurposed home. My house was built in 1907. I live on the 3rd floor and the large 2nd floor is where guests stay. Julian Estates has greater than an acre of land in the rear of the property with several raised beds planted with vegetables and fruits. In my quest to be sustainable and the “ultimate urban farmer", I also have chickens. Feel free to partake in anything in the garden that is in bloom during your stay.

I am a thrift store hound so your room is artistically decorated with one of a kind finds. The mini-fridge in the room is pre-stocked with water bottles and almond milk. A large flat screen television, cable, and high-speed wireless internet. I now have loaner bikes as well!! There is ample closet space in the bedroom to store your luggage and souvenirs. Partake in any of my St. Louis history and guide books that adorn the night stand. I even have a book written by my father, "A Free Mind In The City" for guests to enjoy! A true St. Louis original!

Julian Estates is conveniently located half a mile from the Delmar Loop. The Delmar Loop is where you will find all the amazing ethnically diverse restaurants, the Center of Creative Arts, (COCA), the Regional Arts Commission, (RAC), and a plethora of unique boutiques. The Loop is a walking area that is always fun and filled with people from all over the world.

Julian Estates is (0.8 miles) from Forest Park, The Missouri History Museum (free admission), The Art Museum (free), and the amazing world-class St. Louis Zoo (free). I am 8.5 miles from the airport and just call/text me in advance and if available, I'll pick you up or drop you off. If you choose to rent a car or are driving, I have off street parking in my two driveways. There are several buses nearby and the Metro Link is half a mile away. Julian Estates is approximately a mile and a half away from Washington University and Barnes Jewish Hospital. My alma mater, Saint Louis University is approximately 3-4 miles away.

If you choose to stay at Julian Estates, you will receive a 4 or 5 digit key code that allows you access to your room. Your suite is equipped with a punch code lock that allows you privacy and extra security.

Guests receive a goody basket typically containing items like oatmeal, trail mix, breakfast bars, and/or fruit.
I would prefer if full meals are not prepared on the stove, but anything small like soup or scrambled eggs is fine. I do not eat pork and respectfully ask that it is not prepared or cooked in my kitchen.

I have a 7lb pink poodle named Brooklyn. He is friendly, yet generally always on the third floor with me or outside with me in the garden.

Julian Estates is located in a city neighborhood. I have lived here eight years and my neighbors on the left and right have lived on this street for 30+ years. If you love the vitality and richness that city dwelling offers you then Julian Estates is the right place for you.
I am a total Saint Louis city advocate and boost and promote my community every chance I get! My community is diverse ethnically, economically, and by sexual orientation. However, if you are more comfortable with suburban facades and their false sense of “safety" than the history and uniqueness of urban dwelling, you may want to explore other options. Additionally, I have painstakingly restored my home from top to bottom and must insist that it is respected so if you're looking for a party house or a place to release your wild inhibitions….you should look elsewhere. If you're ready for urban luxury and history located in the middle of fabulous St. Louis City, Julian Estates is the locale for you. Hope to see you soon!

The luxury suite in Rasheedah's home is amazing! It's spacious and relaxing and has everything you could ever need and more for a stay in St. Louis. Her home's convenient location allowed us to travel throughout the city and return comfortably to a beautiful, charming space. She goes out of her way to make her home feel like a welcome environment for guests. I can't recommend her place highly enough!

We are couple who stayed at Rasheedah’s on Easter weekend to visit to St. Louis and had a great time in the city. Rasheedah was an excellent host with great communication and a very nicely arranged home. Driving in, the surrounding areas felt a bit insecure with many damaged or abandoned homes but otherwise the location was a great compromise for driving distance, not directly downtown but not out in the suburbs. The house has a nice historical charm and the room was very welcoming with nice amenities, snacks, and a very comfy bed. The soaker tub is large and especially nice but does take some time to fill. In the end, we had a very nice and relaxing trip in a place much more unique and homier than a typical hotel. You will surley love your stay here!

Rasheedah gave us nothing short of an incredible first Airbnb experience! Unfortuntely, we never got to meet, but she was very accommodating and able to answer any questions we had! She made our stay very personalized and thoughtful. From the sweet messages left on the chalkboard in the foyer, to the snacks and drinks provided, we felt very comfortable and at home immediately. Rasheedah has transformed her beautiful, historic home into a place ideal for anyone wanting the "local" feel of the area. The home is very close to Delmar Loop which is full of quirky shops and delicious places to eat. I highly recommend Julian Estates if you're visiting St. Louis!

Rasheedah was a great host. She was busy planning an event that weekend but was still available to answer all questions. The area is centrally located and pretty much a 12 minute drive to anywhere. The home is exactly as pictured a Beautiful Historic Home with all the Charm! She has everything you could need. Thank you, we can't wait to come back for a longer stay.

Rasheedah's place was exactly what we expected. The room was really nice and spacious. She was also very nice and accommodating. We only saw her a couple of times since we had been exploring the city most of the day, but she was very nice at every encounter. On our way in, we noticed that this particular part of town was older and more run down than some other parts, so we were a little worried for a minute. However, once we arrived, we felt safe. Her street is nice and she has really turned this old home into a very nice and cozy place to stay in St. Louis! We would definitely stay here again!

I hail from the Show Me State and am a proud lifelong resident of Saint Louis city. I love to travel internationally and domestically. I adore how diverse my city is and I explore its festivals, parks, and cultural sites as often as possible. I'm a sucker for any kind of ethnically diverse foods and can direct my guests to the best restaurants the city has to offer. I'm a novice knitter, an urban gardener, and most recently a chicken farmer. I'm a speech-language pathologist by trade, but who knows....if this urban garden of mine picks up perhaps I'll switch my occupation to Gardening Goddess!
