Tall village house with a beautiful terrace in the middle of Cotignac, which is an incredibly lovely village. The house is from the 16th century and extends to many levels all of them interesting and full of history. Saskia is an amazing host.

We had a great stay in this mansion on the center of Cotignac. The apartment is spacious, and the building is huge. We were alone in the building while there; if others were around it might be slightly odd as the apartment opened onto the common stairway in several places and the kitchen was not attached to the rest. The roof terrace was lovely, and looked uncommon in the city. Saskia was out of town, but her friends showed us the apartment and gave us an introduction to the city; they were very friendly and helpful. Some nice meusli, jam, and crackers were left, as well as a bottle of wine, which was a nice touch. Cotignac is a very pleasant town, and the apartment is perfectly located. Free parking was close by, and it generally wasn't a problem to find a space. We'd happily return.

Thank you for your kind words, Aron. I was sorry to miss you and I hope you might come back so we can meet. Thank you also for leaving the apartment in such a perfect state: that way it shows you appreciated this very old house. Come back nd have some more rosé!

I booked thos amazing place for a friends wedding without really using airbnb before or knowing Cotignac but reading the reviews and looking at location in centre of town. We arrived and were amazed to find the whole house - all 6 floors of it were ours for the weekend and Saskia could not have been more helpful. Suffice to say the building is epic and steeped in history so if Old and famous is your thing, this is the house for you. The best bit is the house is for sale too so I suggest you go and stay and if you love the town as much as we did there can't be many better places to lay your head. A fabulous house and a fabulous weekend all round. Thank you Matthew

Saskia's place in Cotignac is amazing. A fantastic apartment floor in a centuries old building. It has a perfect Provencale vibe to it, and just steps from the main stretch of Cotignac.

Wow! What a house! Completely not what we were expecting but in a good way! Saskias place is one of the oldest houses and most influential houses in Cotignac having once hosted Louis XIV for dinner whilst on a visit! It's even in the tourist guide notes! We were in awe of the place really with its original features and quicky little nooks and crannies. The roof terrace is an added bonus and offers great views over the town and the surrounding countryside. Saskia is a great host and very friendly and will make you feel totally at ease. She gave us some great vineyard suggestions and even left the fridge stocked with a few essentials for our stay (including a lovely bottle of rose!) Great value and steeped in history we would recommend Saskias place to anyone visiting the area. It's great fun :)

Cotignac was a lovely city. with small streets, many restaurants and not too many tourists. The apartment was spacious and well equipped. It was an old but charming building with a renovated bathroom.

Having had very hospitable parents, I am used to entertain guests. I love people and like to share my very "French" home with people who appreciated the beauty of Provence. Having lived and traveled for many years outside Europe, I now find that "home" in France is where I am content, even if I am Dutch. I read a lot, love flowers and like very much to restore antique furniture, paintings and mirrors. You will see some of the results in the shop window. You are very welcome to bring your pet as I love animals as much as people.
I speak fluent English, good French and passable German, beside my mother tongue Dutch
