Christiana's home has so much character! We loved the personal touches, the decor, the options we had for bedrooms, and the spacious living room! It is a very large space. We had six of us staying in the home and didn't for one second feel cramped or that there wasn't enough room for all of us. I give honest and comprehensive reviews, so here is ours as compiled by comments from the six of us who stayed in the house: Pros: The back porch was heavenly to enjoy when we returned from a long day at Lollapalooza. There were bathroom toiletries already in the medicine cabinet for us to use if we forgot something. The home is so big! Plenty of room for a group of six. There was plenty of parking outside of the house. We never had to walk past three or four other cars to get to ours. Christiana was delightful and very welcoming. She communicated very well, gave us privacy, and yet was available whenever we had questions. Cons: The kitchen is small so if you are planning to cook while you are there, beware. There were a few utensils we wish we had brought with us, including a whisk, a pizza cutter, and an ice cream scoop. We cooked every morning and night, so we'll remember for next time. Christiana has four dogs. While we all love dogs and they had their own space, they barked a lot. The neighborhood is a little sketchy, although there is university/campus police just a few blocks away. The last night we stayed at the house, there was a domestic dispute right outside the door on the street. There was also some very loud music being played from the car owned by one of the people fighting. If you bring kids to the house, beware that you might hear some questionable language. One bed had a foam egg crate mattress on top of the actual mattress, which was covered in plastic. The egg crate mattress slid around, bunched up, and the fitted sheet kept coming off. The beds were comfortable except for that one bed. Lastly, there is one window air conditioner in the whole house. There are fans in the other rooms. That was not a problem for us, but on really hot days it might be uncomfortable. We were asked to turn it off at night to give it a break. One big surprise was the bathroom shower/tub. Other people have mentioned it and I just want to clarify what the issue is. It is a clawfoot tub with a shower. However, the shower curtain does not go out far enough to give you room to shower. If you're a bigger person, it's like an Olympic sport involving wrestling and gymnastics to get clean while battling the shower curtain. You can do it, but it's going to be quick and frustrating. Lastly, there are no close grocery stores nearby so we went to another suburb. Not a...

It was a perfect location for my son's visit to University of Chicago. Christiana was incredibly kind and flexible, and her place was spotlessly clean.

We stayed at Christiana's for a quick work trip. The apartment was spacious! We had four people there and had lots of space. It was clean and in a great location in the Hyde Park / University district. Christiana and her sister went above and beyond our expectations of helping us around the city. Christiana was waiting for us upon our arrival and was very friendly when showing us around the apartment and how things worked, and she was available if we had any questions.
