The house is a one and a half story home with a master suite in the half story level. The three other bedrooms are on the main level. The kitchen, dining table, coffee bar, and living room are all on the main level.

A propane grill sits on the front porch and a bonfire pit is in the backyard. A small mossy pond is off the right of the property and is not intended to be swam in.

Direct TV and wireless internet will be available to guests.

The access to the 2 acre property will also be available for outdoor bon fires or other games and activities.

A large screened in porch is available for outdoor lounging and activities.

The house is easily accessible by a main road and convenient to many nature based locations.

Access to canoe and/or kayaks (2) is optional with an additional charge. Guests must have ability to transport water crafts on their own.

Interaction with guests

This rental can be completely private with minimal interaction or can be negotiated to provide services for traveling around the area or providing additional amenities. This could include driving services to and from the nearby winery or to nearby St. Croix River for exploring. These additional services need to be requested and solidified at the time of booking.

The neighbourhood

The neighborhood is quiet and private. On 2 acres, your only two neighbors are on either side of you at this property. The house is situated on a main road for ease of access.

There is a county park down the road which offers a large picnic area, sandy lake beach, and trails for walking/hiking/biking (Big Marine Park Reserve). Look it up for more awesome specifics!

This house is within 1 mile of Eko Bakken which is a snow tubbing, mini golf, water slides, and wedding facility. The property is close to Panola Valley Gardens, Taylor Falls, Stillwater, and Franconia Sculpture Garden.

Getting around

Getting around will require your own transportation unless negotiated with the owners to provide services (ex. Drop off north of St. Croix in kayaks/canoes and picked up farther down the river).

My husband and I love to explore the outdoors and new places. We are active folks who like to run marathons, kayak, canoe, hunt, fish, and roast marshmallows over a good bonfire. We are propelled and excited by great locally sourced food and an aged whiskey. Cheers to new adventures!
