What a delightful place! From the moment we arrived off a hot, sweaty train in Yogya (which was an hour late!) we were immediately met by a very nice chap who whisked us off to this little haven! Despite the fact we arrived late into the afternoon/ early evening the staff were so…

We had a terrific stay at Yabbiekayu! The lovely bungalows (2 and 3) are nestled in Tembi village. The rustic charm of the village is very appealing. The view of the paddy fields behind the bungalows and watching the sunrise over the fields is simply phenomenal. Local flowers an…

It's the picture of the open air bathroom that made me fall in love at first sight with Bungalow 3! So I insisted to exchange Bungalow 2 with my friend, although he reserved it earlier than me! And the 3-day-cant be more fantastic experience staying in Bungalow 3 proves it's an …

Well, my family spent the last day of our Yogja tour in Yabbiekayu. It came as a respite after the busy days in town. A serene place to relax and slow down. Perfectly set in the already existing surroundings. The spacious houses, with the open air bathroom and the friendly sta…

Thanks Tino It was a pleasure to meet you and your family, Fascinating conversations, good to share about the life of an expat in Asia and the differences between Malaysia and Indonesia. I'm so glad that your wife and daughter enjoyed their massages, the traditional masseuse here in the village really is quite amazing. Thanks so much for all your private comments that we were well above your expectations, I will let the staff know Really hope we see you all again soon Dave

With 6 friends we've stayed 3 nights (initially we booked 2 nights but we had such a great time that we booked another night) in 3 of Dave's bungalows in Yogya. After a few hectic days in Jakarta and Bandung, Yabbiekayu was the perfect place to stay. We got a really warm and pers…

So nice to have you guys here, and thanks for the magnificent review. We have been talking about the Dutch mob invasion since you left, as the cooking staff were amazed by how much you all liked the breakfast and how many second helping and extras you could consume... surprising for our small Indonesian staff, but great to see you enjoyed our food. We do go out of our way to use as much locally grown organic produce as possible and to prepare food as healthily as possible, no aluminium pots, no palm oil, no MSG, everything washed in spring water, even our eggs get washed prior to storage haha, so I am glad you enjoyed the end result of that effort, I will pass on your compliments to the cooking staff I am also glad that we were able to assist you all smoothly with your tour needs, only next time stay longer as there is so much more to see haha. Safe travels onwards and see you soon again, Dave
