Description

The space

Great place to meet with friends and relax with a few drinks and a fire. No neighbours so noise is not an issue. Wildlife exploring on 400 acres, fishing, boating and swimming nearby. Close to the Havelock jamboree and the RPM show. All paper plates, bowls, cups, knives, spoons and forks are provided as well as pots and pans for cooking. We have two 2 burner propane stove and 2 barbecues. We have a pond for skating this February and March as long as I determine that the conditions are safe. There is a fire pit with wood provided. There is also a generator to power the toaster over, toaster and coffee maker.

Guest access

You will be able to walk, cross country ski or snowshoe on all of the 400 acres.

Interaction with guests

You will have a do it yourself experience. I am always available to call if you have questions or need help

The neighbourhood

Other than the trails and cabins this wilderness is untouched. You can take a Greyhound bus to the town of Marmora . And from there 6 km trip in a taxi will get to the cabin.

Getting around

We have waterfalls for swimming within 5 minutes drive. Fishing on the river 1 km away.

Other things to note

The toilet is an outdoor building which we keep very clean. They is running water hot and cold and a shower in the month that the temperature is above freezing. I greyhound bus can be taken from Toronto to the town of Marmora. From there how taxi can be taken for about 6 km to the cabin

Nice spot in the woods. Very quiet and private, recommend for groups of friends looking for a rustic camping experience with no frills. Not recommended for those needing a typical hotel experience.

A very nice place to get away from hassle and the bussle of the City. Full moon made our stay even more attractive. Love to go more to this place.

Robert's place was excellent. We went during a warmer spell in February and found that the cabin got incredibly hot during the night. You may want to open a window if you have the fire going all night. His property is beautiful and we took our cross-country skis through some of his bush. I would definitely visit again.

This was one of the best airbnb places we have ever stayed! We loved our stay, and would definitely stay here again. Robert was extremely helpful, and there were no problems even though be requested to book last minute. Beds are comfortable, the air is so fresh, and it is nice and secluded. Highly recommend it.

Robert was a very gracious host and the cottages were great for my buddies and myself. Lots of fresh air and plenty of privacy.

If you are a nature lover but new to the cabin experience this is the spot for you. The property and surrounding area is beautiful and Robert was wonderful enough to drop in and make sure we were all topped up on propane, water and supplies for the weekend. There is electricity, a BBQ, fire pit and all the essentials you need from a kitchen. A beautiful swimming spot is just a short drive away and so is a town should you need to buy any supplies. I definitely hope to visit this place again next summer!!

Response from Robert:
I'm glad you enjoyed our place in the area. It's always nice to see young adults as yourself that are responsible, kind and very polite. Looking forward to your return.
