Sleat View Pod is a luxury glamping pod in the quiet, rural grounds beside our new build home in Kinloid on the outskirts of the popular village of Arisaig on the West Coast of Scotland and only a few minutes drive from fabulous white sandy beaches.

Sleat View Pod is located right beside the West Highland train line where guests have sought after views of the famous Jacobite (Harry Potter) steam train. The pod also benefits from lovely sea views over to Sleat Point on Skye.

The space
The pod is 3.3 x 6m luxury glamping pod with en suite bathroom across the rear with walk in shower, toilet, sink and heated towel rail.

The pod benefits from underfloor heating in the main living area, and instant hot water taps. There is a fully integrated Elthin kitchen with combi-microwave and 2 ring ceramic hob, along with kettle and toaster. Plates, cutlery and glasses etc are included as well as basic dishwashing supplies, tea and coffee etc.

There is a spacious breakfast bar for dining with 2 bar stools. The lounge area includes a small sofa and TV. WiFi is available.

There is a built in King size bed which is extremely comfortable. Towels and linen provided.

Outside the pod there is a private decking area with a table and chairs, and access ramp beside private parking.

Check in is from 3pm (although often available earlier so please do let us know if you plan to arrive earlier) and checkout by 10am (this is flexible during off peak times).

In the summer season you can view the Jacobite steam train passing by the pod at 12.05 every day and it leaves again to pass around 14.20. There is also an afternoon train if you miss spotting this one out the window and look out for the special trains including the Royal Scotsman.

If you are up early enough in the morning you might be lucky enough to spot the odd deer grazing on the grass in front of the pod.

Kinloid Road is a very quiet road down to a farm. Ideal location for lots of beautiful walks in the hilly surroundings. Magnificent views and the railway line is directly adjacent. Ideally located only a couple of minutes from Arisaig village which has boat trips, cafes and restaurants and a Spar shop. Mallaig is only a ten minute drive away with a Co Op and takeaways, restaurants and shops, as well as ferries to the islands and boat trips to Knoydart. Beautiful and famous beaches are only a few minutes away on the coastal road.
