Arnaud's place was fabulous! It's so close to the beaches which are all beautiful along that stretch. The house was well appointed and the garden nice and safe for our 18 month old. Arnaud has loads of suggestions for things to do, places to go and good restaurants...lots of which we sampled. The crepes are amazing! All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience for all of us.

The description is very accurate: the property is a lovely cottage with a large secluded garden behind, right by a lovely sandy beach with calm warm waters. A superb location and we had a great time with our 2 boys (aged 3 and 6). The surrounding area is filled with plenty of nice beaches and villages with restaurants very near and on the beach. Arnuad and Arianne are excellent hosts and provide plenty of information (and bicycles and cider!). A great beach holiday in a lovely property in a lovely area!

Arnaud's cottage is a great place to spend time with or without kids. We have been there as a family of four, with kids aged 8 and 11. The cottage has a big lawn where the kids can play without disturbing anyone; there is also a little surprise for the kids of that age and older (I won't spoil it, but my kids loved it and played for hours.). Besides the lawn, kids can roam further as the grounds are much bigger and extend all the way to the sea/beach. The beach is public but wasn't crowded at any time. The beach is small but very nice and has trees to provide shade, lovely! The water is very smooth, a great place for small kids as there are no waves to speak off. You can go snorkeling, but bring a suit. The cottage is well equipped, pretty much anything you'd ask for in a kitchen is there, plus a Weber BBQ outside. The cottage is right next to a semi-public road going to the beach. The road is closed from 7:30 PM to 8 AM, and there was only occasional traffic during the rest of the day (mind you we were there in high season) so it didn't bother us the least. Shopping is easy, you get fresh fish every day directly from the fishermen in Beg Meil (be at the warf at 5 PM), and there is a nice bakery in Beg Meil as well as a small supermarket plus other stores we did not use. You can take a bike to get fresh croissants and baguette (make sure you buy "traditional" baguette anywhere in France, they are much better than the standard baguette) or even walk the path along the coast if you are an early riser that likes to stroll around alone along the beach in the morning). Everything in the house worked well, we even tried out the fireplace one night. Anything that we missed, Arnaud and his family quickly organized. They are all very nice and helpful and Arnaud specifically is a cool guy (and they all speak English very well).

Arnaud was a pleasant host, quick to respond and helped us on several occasions during our stay with bicycle renting, bus timetables and by giving general directions. The cottage was pretty much what we expected - not excessively luxurious but had all the modern basic amenities and had obviously been renovated not long time ago. Location was pleasant and generally quiet, although there was some traffic because of the beach nearby. The nearby beach was somewhat small but cozy, easy to reach and the surroundings provided plenty of opportunities for beachgoers. Bicycling was very pleasant in the area because of good roads, moderate traffic and lovely scenery.
