The space
This second-floor apartment is fully furnished, bright, and airy, and comes with access to a fully equipped gymnasium, jacuzzi, and outdoor pool area. It has its own parking space, lift access, and west-facing balconies off both the living room and bedroom. The bedroom is fully air-conditioned.

You have the whole apartment to yourselves! There is a dedicated parking space below the apartment with direct lift access.

Funchal, Madeira, Portugal

Vila Formosa is a great place for sea views, local bars, and the Forum Madeira shopping centre just down the road. It is also on a level road (Estradra Monumental) which, if you know Madeira, is a precious commodity.... the ability to walk into town and back! The walk into Funchal is about 30 minutes but takes you past many shops, bars, and the Lido. Outside of Vila Formosa is a bus stop and taxi rank if you prefer not to walk. A Taxi takes 5 minutes into town and costs about 8 Euros.

We originally bought Vila Formosa for personal use only, so after much searching found the perfect location, views and facilities! We still visit each year and enjoy it more and more every time. If you like walking, eating and drinking outside and being in a city that isn't totally about the tourists, you'll love Funchal! Whilst their main income is tourism, real people live and work here which, to us, makes the island that little bit more special.
