About this listing

This spacious 1 bedroom apartment has a view of the building's courtyard, and is across the street from Prospect Park. Experience one of Brooklyn's busiest and most charming apartments.

The space

Great spacious one bedroom apartment steal in Lefferts Gardens across the street from Prospect Park conveniently steps away from Q, B, and Shuttle to 2,3,4,5,& C subway lines.

This is a ground floor apartment with a spacious living room, luxurious king size bed in the bedroom, along with a full stocked kitchen and bathroom. The couch also pulls out to become a queen size bed. This is a non-smoking home, and animal free. I love pets. I just don't have them, and ask that you don't bring your's.

You will have full access to the apartment. The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans for those looking to cook. I just ask you leave the apartment as you find it.

This is a one bedroom apartment that you would have complete access to when I'm out of town (I will not be present during your stay). I would be happy to recommend places to eat and travel tips for those interested, and I would ensure that I or a friend of mine was a phone call away if needed.

I live in an apartment building and my moto is to "be a good neighbor," and I'm glad that my neighors act the same. The apartment over looks the building's courtyard, the subway, and the backyards across from the subway. It is green and tranquil, but You WILL Hear the Subway when it goes by. Ear plugs are provided if you happen to find yourself needing them. I haven't had someone need them and I clearly never do, but please consider this before booking. The apartment is Not surrounded by other apartments, but I do have respectful and lively neighbors. You will not hear any traffic from the busy street connecting my building to Prospect park though. By staying at my apartment you will enjoy one of Brooklyn's best up-and-coming areas with beautifully diverse buildings, amenities, neighbors, and everything that comes with that.

There are Great ammenities all with in 2-3 blocks of my apartment: Prospect Park is across the street (there is a farmers market at Grand Army Plaza every Saturday), the Brooklyn Zoo, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Brooklyn Museum and the Library are just down Flatbush, and dozens of great restraunts and bars all within walking distance.

Guest access

Access to Internet. There is no Tv in this apartment. There is also a dish washer that guests with long stays may use.

Interaction with guests

I will check you in the space to show you around and answer any last minute questions. You will have the entire apartment to yourself, and I will not be there.

Other things to note

This apartment has a smoke detector, CO2 monitor, and fire extinguisher. First Aid materials are under the bathroom sink.

The apartment is well located. Just few minutes of walking distance from the subway. It is comfortable but there was a problem with the drain, but it was fixed right away. The only handicap of the apartment is the constant noise of the subway passing by every 15-20 minutes, day and night. If you are a light sleeper maybe this is not a good choice. Overall we liked everything and we enjoyed our stay in Brooklyn!

I also love the location. I understand that my apartment has the issue of subway noise which is why I say directly in my listing: "It is green and tranquil, but You WILL Hear the Subway when it goes by. Ear plugs are provided if you happen to find yourself needing them. I haven't had someone need them and I clearly never do, but please consider this before booking." I want everyone to have the best experience when visiting and that is why I caution guests about this noise and provide ear plugs incase it becomes an issue. I have had most people say it doesn't bother them and some mention it is soothing. So, it is hard to tell how much warning is necessary. Regardless I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in Brooklyn!

We had a great stay at Rachael's apartment in Brooklyn. The apartment is super spacious, perfectly located for the park and the Q train to the city and tons of great local restaurants. Rachael was a super helpful host, and very accommodating with the check in and out times.

Rachel's place was exactly what I needed. I felt like I was staying at a friend's place. She offers tea, bagels, guide books, maps, and suggestions based on conversation. She's a warm and friendly person, and provides a comfortable, clean, and colourful home away from home. I will most definitely book her place again when I come back to Brooklyn.

This is a perfect apartment for a trip to New York. Whether you're staying in Brooklyn (Prospect Park is directly across the street and a great place to spend some time) or headed into Manhattan (subway is a 5 minute walk), there's tons to do right from here. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with plenty of room for three adults and a baby (and all the mountains of stuff that we brought for the baby). The bedroom has more than enough space for a pack n play and my mom was comfortable on the pull-out couch. The kitchen is lovely and there's room to eat, which was ideal for us to bring in food from a nearby restaurant. Rachael was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the whole process, even recommending places to find parking and places to eat. She was flexible with our timing and made everything as smooth as possible. Overall, this was a perfect home base for us for the weekend - highly recommend!

Our stay was great! Rachael accommodated our extra early morning arrival, sent me lots of info on how to get there from the airport and was extra responsive when needed! Her place is quite large and was cozy and comfortable for us to stay there. We would definitely stay here again!

Rachael's apartment was great--clean, well-stocked, and a great location! One block to the subway and delicious bagels, ten steps to beautiful Prospect Park. The pictures are all accurate to the space, and the pull-out couch was more comfortable than I ever could have hoped. The train noise is noticeable, but didn't affect my ability to sleep whatsoever. I would recommend this apartment to all!

Rachael was a great host for us, and the apartment was the best choice we could pick. The apartment is in front of Prospect Park in Brooklyn, steps away from the B and Q train stop with the same name; which allowed us to be in Manhattan in 20 to 25 mins. The train tracks are behind the apartment, but the sound is more than bearable. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, with tons of room for the 4 people that travelled, and Rachael made us feel at home. She was very kind to us, accommodating our special check in and check out times. She gives you a lot of helpful information regarding the neighborhood which has a lot of different options, and tons of nice food places right around the corner. It is definetly a nice place to stay if you want to be close to Manhattan, but without feeling its crowded and packed streets. I would recommend Rachael's place to anyone who travels to New York.
