Set in mature gardens with a large pool, the cottage has a rustic feel with thick stone walls and high wooden ceilings. It's within easy walk to the authentic village of Kaya with its historical ruins as well as local restaurants and café houses.

The space

The cottage sleeps six with use of a large pool and BBQ. Great views across the fields to the stone village and easy access to some great beaches nearby. Mature gardens with plenty of shade in the summer....a little oasis. The other cottage (Quince Cottage) sleeps 4 and can be rented together....making space for 10 people.

Guest access

The cottages are set in large gardens with a good size pool, lots of sunbathing space and shade. Well equipped kitchen with washing machine, microwave, satellite TV, DVD and Wifi. All rooms have AC and there is a wood burning stove for cooler months.

Interaction with guests

We are based on site in another stone cottage at the other end of the garden and are happy to answer queries and point you in the right direction for the best restaurants, walks and beaches.

Other things to note

The well photographed Blue Lagoon beach is only 15 mins drive away and there are many historical sites in the area.

I cannot rate this accommodation highly enough. Vicky was the most wonderful host helping with my endless questions and queries and assisting us with transport and directions. The cottage was stunning and the location idyllic. We are so glad that we got to enjoy the "real" Turkey. The village has some lovely places to eat and we particularly loved the food and hospitality at "zen" just behind where the camels are stationed. The children loved the pool ( we all did) and the gardens are stunning; all Vickys hard work! The cottage was immaculate, well equipped and felt like home from home We very much hope to revisit next year

Vicky's two cottages are situated in a secluded corner of this small and picturesque village, set in a beautiful garden surrounded by fields. They benefit from being both private and peaceful yet only a short walk to the centre of the village (which has a collection of excellent restaurants and cafes and a handful of local convenience stores). It's the perfect getaway from city life. Vicky was responsive, friendly and helpful at all times. Two days here wasn't long enough, and we'll definitely be heading back in the summer when we can make use of the pool set within the gardens. Highly recommended!

We could not have wished for a better host! From the dialogue we had about practicalities before our trip began, to the arranging of the taxi to the airport at the end of our stay in Turkey, Vicky was always on hand to offer advice and suggestions, and it was interesting to hear more about day-to-day life in Turkey. Fig Cottage was perfect for us. A wonderfully quiet location where you can enjoy simple pleasures of walking, eating (and plenty was done of that!), and splashing in the pool - but near enough to Fethiye to experience town life as well. We are already planning our return visit. Thank you so much!

We had a really great time at Fig Cottage, which is an ideal, restful and beautiful location from which to explore Turkey's fascinating Turquoise coast. The cottage is exactly as described, and very warm and welcoming. The pool is a blessing. Our hosts, Vicky and Burchin, looked after us splendidly, dealt quickly with any queries and gave us very helpful suggestions. We would highly recommend a stay here.

What a delightful stay we had at Fig Garden Cottages during the Easter Break. Sadly the weather in the first week of April wasn't nearly as warm as our welcome from host Vicky and her family. The cottage's location is a brilliant base to explore the area's stunning beaches and local attractions. Its very well kitted out and we made good use of the BBQ and washing machine. Vicky even filled the swimming pool earlier than usual to accommodate daily dips for our two plucky (and cold resistant) kids (9 and 10). We'd love to return ...

Awesome place to relax and discover this beautiful region of Turkey. The house, its garden, the pool are just like a paradise. Small shops, good restaurants, taxis and bus station are also at walking distance when you want to move around. Vicky is wonderful and shared some very good tips. We really enjoyed the good vibe !

What a perfect place!! Beyond our highest expectations :) We had the best relaxing time at Vicky's haven, enjoying her lovely house, perfect pool and the inspiring garden. We could feel and see how well thought and organized everything is. We wish we could’ve stayed longer!

After travelling extensively for many years I settled in Turkey when I met my husband Burcin, 3 children later here I am in my dream location, in the Kaya valley.
We had been looking to buy land in Kaya for ages and then by chance we were offered this plot of land. We jumped at the opportunity as it had great views of the old village, some well established fig and pomegranate trees and is within easy walking distance to the village centre. It had a bit of a secret garden feel to it. The cottages are well secluded from each other, covered in Virginia creeper and ivy.
The Fig Garden is in such a great position, very quiet but at the same time within easy walking distance to the centre of the village. It has great views across the fields to the old ruins and is an oasis of green and shade. The gardens are well established and certainly keep me busy. I have planted many fruit trees, apricot, peach, cherry, apple, pear, orange, lemon and banana just to name a few. Lavender, daisy, rose and geranium do well here as well as wild oregano and thyme. There are plenty of restaurants nearby offering fresh local produce, all with a genuine smile. Beaches are easy to get to and there is a great choice of historical sites to visit, what more can you wish for?
