Beautiful, cozy room in loved Portland home. Close to bus lines and max. On street parking. Five minute drive downtown. Near Spring Water Corridor, East Esplanade, and Rhododendron Garden. Bicycle available. I don't charge a cleaning fee.

The space

The space is on the main floor off the living room. Not ideal for romantic getaways.
Remember, I am not on vacation and live in a 100+year old house. You will hear me get up in the morning to get ready for work.

Guest access

There is a private bathroom. You have limited kitchen access. You can store stuff in refrigerator and use microwave, but no actual cooking. You can use the washer/dryer in the basement.

Interaction with guests

I am a walking Portland advertisement. So let me know if you need help with anything!

Other things to note

I am highly allergic to all perfume and cologne. In addition, I do not tolerate patchouli, lavender, baby powder or Dial soap. Please do not use shampoo, body wash, hairspray, deodorant, or lotion with any of those scents or any other strong smells.

We keep things fairly quiet at home. Although noise travels in this house. Some of the 100+ year-old floors creak. I'm an early riser. No smoking, pets, or drugs. I am highly allergic to strong scents. No perfume, cologne, candles, incense, or other strong scents. We do not wear shoes in the house.

Charming quiet neighborhood that is more pub transit accessible than (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps may lead you to believe. Bus 2 blocks away and not far to light rail (new orange line is preferable although a few mins longer ride to/from downtown if unfamiliar w the city, 12th and Clinton stop is a bit confusing at night), plenty of parking at house. Very accurate host description of home (adorable craftsman), great bed and clean, private bath directly next to bedroom (on main fl off main living space). Great experience!

Dawn was an amazing host. She was very friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. She even helped us with planning out things to do especially when one of our original plans fell through. The location was in a quiet neighborhood very close to the MAX that takes you most places that we wanted to go. The house was very nice. Great trip overall.

Dawn is a great host. She is very helpful and accomodating. She's been in the area her whole life, so she has plenty of Portland suggestions. Her house is very close to downtown, and is at the most 25 min from most Portland attractions. Great place to stay.

I was born and raised in Portland. I love to travel and also to host foreign students. I speak Spanish and make coffee first thing every morning! I'm an Elvis fan and love documentaries.
