Henk is a wonderful host. He was very quick to respond to our queries, flexible when it comes to the check-in and check-out times, and very nice to talk to. The place is well located, very clean and certainly feels like home from the moment you get there. Breakfast was great too - everything you could possibly think of was there for taking. This was much appreciated, provided we had a long day of biking ahead of us! We would definitely stay here again and warmly recommend the place for others too. Thank you again, Henk!

Henk is a really friendly and welcoming host. This is a great spot, and good value for money, near Shanklin. You will need to drive into the local village.

Lovely house and garden in the outskirts of the super picturesque little town of Shanklin on the isle of wight ... quiet but (EMAIL HIDDEN)e with some time to explore the area - we loved the cycle tour straight from the house, plenty of walking nearby and gorgeous cliffs! Thank you very much for all your insider tips, loved it and would be back anytime:)

Response from Henk:
Odours are frequently mentioned in reviews . Im aflorist and always have an abundance of scented flowers in and around the house. I also live in the country and surrounded by farm land, muck spreading and have animals in the house too and every nationality who stays here has their own way of cooking, so therefor you get different odours from every which direction in my house. But i accept them; nice to be part of an international cuisine.

People describe me as a very welcoming and friendly person. I have got a good sense of humour, or so I have been told.
I am from Dutch origin, but I have been in the UK for 36 years..
I havetwo friendly houseguestsliving with me: a cat called Tiggy .and Codey my puppy Retriever( dog) .Guests who are staying with me, can help themselves to the well stocked cupboards and pretend you are at home. If you like to go cycling, you can use the bikes in the garage and if you just like to go for a walk, there s a nice wood at the back of the house and some lovely walk ways.
