Great location as we walked with our bags from the train station in about 15 minutes - Philip is very nice and helpful and answered all of our tourist questions. He was also very promptly responsive to emails before the stay and personally greeted us when we arrived. We had access to 1-1/2 private bathrooms and were able to store some leftovers in their fridge. It was very quiet at night.

Philip was an excellent host and the room was very comfortable. He was very communicative and provided us with great suggestions regarding our trip. The room itself is bright, clean, and has everything you need. We also had access to a full and half bath, which made our stay very comfortable as well. The location is perfect. It is a 20-30 minute walk to the Temple Bar area, but it is also on a Dublin Bus bus route that takes you directly there if you don't feel like walking. It is very close to the Kilmainham Jail, the modern art museum, and the royal hospital. Philip provided coffee and cereal every morning, which was very kind. We also fell in love with their dog, who greeted us every morning as well. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and would do it again!

This place is a little gem in Dublin, great hosts, lovely dog, perfect room and a private bathroom. It is walking distance from basically everything in Dublin, if you love walking like we do! I stayed here with a friend for the Rock'n Roll Half Marathon in August. Would highly recommend!

This is a contemporary home in a nice residential neighborhood. You will be able to walk to bus or train stations and many points of interest in the heart of Dublin. Philip maintains a very nice home that allows a good level of privacy for guests. The bed, pillows and linens are really comfortable so you should not have to worry about getting a good night of sleep.

Clean bedroom and bathroom ( with an adaptor provided which can be very useful). Located near kilmainham goal and Phoenix park which are interesting places To visit. It is not in the city centre but it is Well connected by buses and not very far walking (25-30 minutes max). Might be more suitable for a short stay than a long holiday because, as described by the hosts, the kitchen is not available. We stayed for a really short night so we did not have a real opportunity To exchange with our hosts but the communication was good before our arrival and we were nicely welcomed.

Philip was such a great host! He had good recommendations, and the coffee was a great touch. We were very tired, so we stayed in the room a lot and it was a great place to relax. I'd recommend getting a leap travel card into the city, if you plan on going into the city many times.

Phil and his friend were very helpfull. The bedroom was small, but the bed was great. The bathroom was great, actually with a bath. When we looked at the picture of the living room, we we were impressed, but we could only sit there during breakfast. That is a little bit misleading, especially if you look at the price of the room. The neighbourhood is great.

Response from Philip:
We are glad that you enjoyed your stay in Dublin, I am a little surprised by the comment on the availability of the use of the kitchen and living room. It very clearly states in the house rules (that you had to agree to before booking), that the kitchen was available only at breakfast. It was clear to us that you had not read the listing properly indicated by the fact you arrived with food that you wanted to prepare and eat in the house. We reluctantly allowed you to do this. I would suggest that in future you thoroughly read and understand the house rules of any AirBnb accommodation that you book to avoid a similar disappointment. I should add that it was only after leaving host review we realised that you had helped yourself to several food items from our fridge!

We are Philip and David. A professional couple who live in a contemporary home in Kilmainham. I am in Real Estate, David is a Doctor. We live with our Dalmatian, Tegan. We enjoy socialising at home, cooking and entertaining and eating out when ever possible. Cinema, theatre and concerts are a favourite pass time. We love to travel and take several trips a year. Last year to Barcelona, Berlin, Frigiliana, Shropshire several times, back to Berlin again and up to the west coast of Ireland too.
